"The undead can be killed now! Watch your fallen comrades, anyone who dies becomes foe!", a guild member commanded.
With the shift in strength and rules the Guilds needed a moment to regather their momentum. This would be quicker than the initial assault considering now the undead could die. Now they didn't have to worry about keeping various undead from rising they could redouble their efforts in actual combat.
Tilia however wasn't too positive about this change. The fact that the Territory changed meant that for whatever reason the Undead King decided that the revival effect was no longer necessary, or was trying to prove something. Her instincts were alarmed by this, and it wasn't just due to the King's voice.
Raising a hand she formed several kite shields to block deadly attacks to some Guild members. Once they recovered she retracted them and continued to keep an eye on the fight's progress. It was clear that the one's in most danger were the Guilds. They clearly brought some more inexperienced players, and even those who were underpowered, for chance to grow. Yielya noticed this first and urged Tilia to cover their mistakes to reduce casualties.
It was clear the Guilds were trying to profit off this situation. Considering there wasn't any Third Stages from them this meant either they didn't have any or didn't bring any. Both were not pleasing ideas. Regardless Tilia did as she asked.
The sound of a small bell rang out and Tilia turned. Yielya dusted off her clothes while approaching and asked, "Your thoughts?"
"Troubling.", Tilia responded.
"I thought so too. They're willingly handing over their greatest advantage, what does it mean?"
"Perhaps we pushed them too far?"
Tilia flicked her wrist and several shields spun deflected a multitude of arrows in their backline. Immediately a Guild commander noticed this flaw and corrected it with their next tactic. Yielya chewed her cheek, "No, that's not quite right. The circumstances have changed?"
Confused at her words Tilia asked for clarification.
Yielya pointed at the Territory, "The Territory was strongest when the King didn't act. With his words it could only mean he is, thus the Territory had to become weaker. The strength from before came at the cost of his inaction."
"That. . . makes this even more dangerous. That means the King's acting then right? Isn't he Fourth Stage?"
Gritting her teeth Yielya placed a palm near her ear, "Akiol! What's going on over there?"
Silence. . .
"Akiol! Respond with anything if you can!", Yielya tried again.
Once more there was no response. Yielya and Tilia crossed glances and immediately went into action. This meant one of two things, either Akiol was in a position to where he couldn't respond or somehow the magic circle was cut off again. No matter which it was that was bad news.
Yielya pointed towards the ground, "Your priority remains the same, keep the Guilds alive."
Tilia nodded and watched as the bell manifested and rang. Yielya was switched with a large stone as it plopped onto the ground. Turning towards the castle Tilia narrowed her eyes. This was very troubling indeed.

"You dare! You think my kingdom will fall to this?!"
Akiol braced himself against the burst of anger. The King was aware of the teleporting, meaning his underling were at risk. Was this the cause of the fury?
Drawing Stars Akiol took up a stance. The rules of the newly stated Territory became apparent and he grit his teeth. His original goal to get the King to move was complete. Even though the undead were stronger it meant they were beatable. Once the everyone finished off their targets they could flee!
However now that the Undead King was taking action, he couldn't allow the Fourth Stage to wipe them clean! Space rippled as he activated Stars' Berserk Skill. With Third Stage it's power increased even more along with a new visual change. The once pointed circles began to spin, their visual change made them look like the accretion disk of a Black hole.
"Wielding a creation of Borus is far from enough to match my strength. It was foolish for you to even attempt this!", the Undead King pointed at Akiol and a wave of spine tingling energy washed over him.
The magic circle on his ear shattered and the blast of wind from the King's presence began to push him back. There was one thing that nobody knew, and that was what sort of Class the Undead King was. Was he a spellcaster? A Warrior? What sort of abilities would the King use?
It was entirely unknown to Akiol. Thus he could only remain further on edge. The King slowly pushed himself off his rusted throne. Upon standing he outstretched a hand, a scepter made of rusted metal formed and he grabbed it. Taking slow methodical steps down the stairs leading to his throne he spoke, "Time is the enemy of all. Age for those that live. Wear for the stone of the world. Rust for the metals. Even history fades away."
Lifting his scepter towards Akiol he spoke, "Everything, without exception, will rot."
Upon saying 'rot' Akiol felt the ground beneath his feet crumble to dust. Utilizing mana to create a foothold he held his position. This felt like someone who was a spellcaster!
The castle around him began to fall to dust and sand. Akiol couldn't understand the meaning behind the King's actions, why was he destroying his own castle? As the Undead King took another step down the stairs, they turned to dust and he remained standing on mana. Another step and even more of the castle turned to the pile of sand.
"The passage of time remains to all. Even the undead will rot into obscurity. Yet only time will be our defeat. Not the likes of you.", the Undead King continued to speak.
Outstretching his other hand he blasted a hole through some of the remaining wall. Or rather a circle of stone was turned to sand, making it seem like he blasted a hole. A hall of the castle crumbled and an individual tumbled through the sand. Like being pulled by a magnet they flung into the Undead King's grip.
Turning his head slowly the King looked towards the individual, "And another intruder."
The figure reappeared next to Akiol and spoke with an angered tone, "You had to anger the Undead King?!"
Akiol looked towards them, "Dot? I thought you weren't participating."
"I still don't intend to. Yet it seems my hand is forced if I want to live."
Akiol wryly smiled, "You suggesting we team up?"
"Hardly. We just need to survive."
"That works for me."
Thin strands of Aura leaked from Akiol. They wriggled about as he thinned the consumption of Aura while still trying to obtain the strength of the Form of Fortification. Travis wasn't going to be left out and utilized his second Berserk Skill, the white circles and black triangles manifesting across his body. Above his head a halo of the white circle appeared, and inside a black triangle making contact with the circles at its points.
Travis was the first to make his move, leaping forward he swung his two blades towards the Undead King. Raising his scepter in response the Undead King blocked the two blades, "I see, although your power is hidden you're clearly not of the same Stage."
Akiol flickered behind the Undead King and swung Stars forward. The Undead King looked towards Akiol and noticed his own mana control could not overtake Akiol's. For someone to be of peak mana control like this, they were not simple!
Rusted metal shot upwards and blocked Akiol's swing. Clearly empowered by whatever the Undead King was capable of, normally Stars wouldn't have been stopped by a rusted piece of metal.
Travis pushed away and slid back, since his fight with Yaulo earlier it was only a matter of time until the effects of [Averoth's Lust for Battle] was going to take place. Although he doubted this would be enough to close the gap, it should help him survive!
Akiol maneuvered Stars past the metal and sparkling stars appeared on the King's body. They burst apart and revealed no damage. In response the Undead King raised several rusted metal spears and shot them forward. Akiol leapt back and attempted to deflect any he could but Stars simply bounced off their exterior.
Waving Stars in a strange fashion a wave of Aura shot forth and crashed against the spears, it swirled like a collapsing ocean wave and forced the spears to be focused at a single point. Directing it to the side he pushed away the spears, but all of this only gained the interest and amusement from the king.
"A strange energy, such an alien feeling. Yet the more you study it the more it feels familiar."
The Undead King looked towards Travis and also commented, "You who wields two of Borus' creations, and the polar opposite energies of the Abyss and Holy."
He cackled at the sight, "It seems you weren't entirely foolish to challenge me, there is merit behind your misguided confidence! Yet you fall beneath the king!"
