Ninn rotated her daggers around her body, their spinning provided a bit of defense and made Cain slightly hesitant to approach.
He wasn't afraid of the daggers, well at least most of them. His speed can easily dodge them, but if there were more invisible ones then he would be in trouble. His body at Second Stage was incapable of noticing anything in the air, especially with his speed. Although he hated to admit it, Ninn had him on the ropes. Purely due to the unknown amount of daggers she had!
Clenching his fists he leaned forward, standing around being afraid wasn't going to lead to victory! So what if daggers are hidden? If he was fast enough he could react! So increase your speed, increase it beyond what you accomplished at Second Stage!
[Virescent Current: Frictionless Ripple]!
Arcs of green electricity sprang from his body and connected to the ground. His figure flickered for a moment before disappearing entirely. Ninn swung her hand forward and several daggers shot forward towards him. But compared to his speed, the daggers seemed so slow. Even as they turned and homed in onto him, he was easily able to pass them.
Once he got past the thrown daggers he ignored all his defense. Since he had no way to find them, there was no point in being caution about them! Throwing a punch forward he almost immediately winced, a dagger forming where his hands was. It slipped through the gap between his fingers and stabbed through his palm. As he retracted his hand he watched as an arc of green lightning leapt from his arm and connected with the dagger. Retreating quite some distance away he suddenly gained an idea.
[Virescent Current: Electric Circuit]!
The electricity coursing through his body increased several-fold. Dashing around Ninn he watched as the arcs made contact with some of the invisible knives. Making a mental note of all their locations he began his next attack! Slipping through Ninn's invisible defense his fist approached her face.
Ninn started leaning to the side, extending an arm forward. A dagger slipped from her hands and moved forward, but it was all too slow!
Wham-!
Ninn's daggers fell to the ground as she tumbled back. She held the area she was hit with a gruesome expression, "Not very polite."
"Ha."
Ninn grit her teeth, Cain's figure flickered and he appeared directly in front of her and delivered a swift kick. As she rolled back to recover she found no time to counter attack. Cain's speed was simply overwhelming, and now he had the advantage.
The arcs grew larger as Ninn bounced back and forth from Cain's attacks. The sounds of electricity buzzing filled her ears, pain blossoming from different locations. Slowly she began rising, the ceaseless attacks from Cain lifting her off the ground. The constant attacks didn't let her focus, making her flying daggers useless! If there was one point to take comfort in, it was the fact that Cain focused solely on speed. His attacks hurt, but were not lethal. She just needed to withstand it! Find that opening!
Cain clenched his hands into fists and increased his attacks. As Ninn rose to the air the electricity that coursed across his body increased. Landing on the ground the electricity arced across the ground. His legs tensed up as he braced himself!
[Virescent Current: Jacob's Ladder]!
Du-du-du-du-du-
The attacks Ninn received increased three-fold. She was tossed higher into the air, and electricity arced between two places as she continued to be hit. Despite the constant attacks she kept her eyes open, looking for a specific thing!
Cain slid directly underneath Ninn on the ground. The electric arcs not appearing this time. Instead the green electricity gathered at his fist, moving in a circular pattern at incredible speeds. Leaping upwards he prepared to throw a powerful punch!
[Virescent Current: Arc Discharge]!
Ninn's eyes widened, her arm reaching towards her bag. Cain's fist approached closer, and time seemed to slow to a stop! The green electricity moved still at an impressive speed, their paths slowly moving closer to the tip of Cain's middle knuckle.
Hum~
Cain's fist knocked back, his face showing clear shock. His attack was just blocked by a bronze semi-translucent shield! It came out of nowhere, and didn't even budge when it received his attack! His entire momentum was stopped short, even sending him back to the ground!
'Not good! The shield wasn't conductive at all! The electricity is still gathered at my hand, if I touch the ground-!'
Mana swirled around Cain as he slowed his stop. However he only was capable of slowing, not entirely stopping!
Ninn watched as the shield disappeared. She was not entirely shocked by the outcome somehow! Pulling several daggers out of her bag she threw them towards Cain!
'Yes! If I can conduct the electricity to these daggers I can fall safely!'
As one of the daggers approached Cain punched the flat end with his fist, knocking it towards the ground. His confidence wavered as he felt the electricity still coursing through his palm.
"Sorry to break it to you, but these daggers are made of bone!", Ninn shouted as she threw two handfuls forward.

Wrock crossed his arms and hummed in a questioning tune. Igneel looked towards him and asked, "Is something wrong?"
"I just think this Ninn person is quite similar."
This almost alerted the party. Kan'na asked first, "Care to elaborate?"
"She was granted quite the gift. It's almost comparable to mine. Since I can. . . since I can see flaws. What she can do is something different, but not entirely unrelated."
Igneel looked towards Ninn, "She can see something we can't?"
"Not quite, rather she's already seen what we have. If I'm right, she can see a very small fraction into the future. Rather that's a gross simplification of what she can see."
Wrock rubbed his nose, "She can see the 'intentions' of someone. Much like reading someone's killing intent, bloodlust, or even watching their movements. When ordinary people do it, they can get a rough idea of what their opponent is about to do and predict it. When she does it, she can already see what they're doing. It no longer is in the realm of 'prediction', rather it's 'seeing'."
Indeed! Ninn was granted an incredibly similar skill to that of Wrock! As Wrock battles he gains insight to his opponents and is able to spot their 'flaws'. As Ninn battles she gains insight to their 'intentions'. Through repeated use and extensive practice she was able to fully utilize this ability in battle!
Akiol smiled faintly, "This planet never fails to amaze me. I truly wonder how many talented people are merely hiding away here."

Tilia lowered her hand, the kite shield she summoned to protect Ninn disappearing. As she battled Thirn she was keeping tabs on her teammates. Ready to assist if they ever needed it. Although she wanted to fully protect them. . . she had a feeling that wouldn't be a good idea. With an Ace nearby, drawing attention was not the greatest of plans.
Cr-Thunk-!
Rapidly warping her War Sight back to the tower shield she blocked three bolts. Thirn quickly reloaded his crossbow and maintained a safe distance. With Tilia's move he grew wary, 'She is able to summon smaller shields, what exactly is this War Sight?!'
War Sights weren't rare, but not something you could see everyday. Additionally most of the War Sights were incredibly odd in their function. Mostly small gimmicks that weren't helpful in battle. To face against what seems to be a powerful War Sight. . . it was unnerving.
'No it's fine! We have a God's Chosen Blessing on our side. Pale won't lose, so I just have to wear this one down!'
[Clockwork Bolts: Twenty Seconds]!
Cr-Thunk-!
Every time his prized bolts—ones that gave several high Stage defenders trouble—bounced off the shield harmlessly he felt a bit of his heart break. It was like the shield was impenetrable!
'Stop worrying about that!', Thirn lectured himself. He needed to focus on the battle!
Leaping forward he shot his crossbow towards Tilia. Not bothering to watch what happened he immediately reloaded and shot another three bolts. Closing the distance he continued to fruitlessly fire the bolts. Reaching a certain distance he once again jumped over Tilia, firing three bolts from directly above.
[Clockwork Bolts: Five Seconds]!
Reloading as he landed he fired another set directly towards her back, the recoil from the crossbow wearing down his arms.
[Clockwork Bolts: Three Seconds]!
Running in circles around her he repeatedly fired bolts, burning through his supply. As his [Clockwork Bolts] began to finally fire off he braced himself and held his massive crossbow with both hands.
[Clockwork Bolts: Broken Clock]!
Cr-Thunk-Cr-Thunk-Cr-Thunk-!
As he fired his crossbow off it immediately reloaded and allowed him to fire again. A rain of bolts pelted Tilia's shield. As more and more of his [Clockwork Bolts] continued to appear around her she quickly found the projectiles too much to handle with her shield alone. With a slight wave of her hand the tower shield broke into three kite shields that floated around her. They spun around her rapidly, getting in the way of the various bolts with precise timing.
Thirn spotted it, an opportunity! Firing off three more bolts he used one of his Skills!
[Clockwork Bolts: Second Hand Skip]!
As they soared through the air Thirn watched as they approached Tilia's shield. Right as one was about to be blocked it suddenly skipped ahead, as if passing through the shield. It easily pierced through Tilia's side, through her armor and flesh. A hole appeared through and began bleeding profusely.
Thirn clenched his hand around his crossbow in excitement, 'Yes! The shield may be impenetrable, but it's not impassable! That means-'
His thoughts were stopped short as one of the kite shields slammed into his face. Tilia put a hand over the wound and closed her eyes, "Bad move on my part, I'll be sure to not make that mistake again."
"A wound like that would eventually make you bleed out!"
"I still have quite some time left.", Tilia spoke calmly, her eyes failing to show any hesitance.
