Kapitel 229: A Little Training

"Greetings father, and this is?"

Kanye nodded, "Founder Wrock, he has offered to give a few pointers."

The newly arrived individual bowed slightly to Wrock, "It's a pleasure to meet a Founder."

"Head up, may I know your name?"

"Youngest son of the Royal family, Neir."

"Neir, very well. My time is short, so let us spar."

"I thank you for your time!"

Wrock walked to a side of the arena, Neir stood at the opposite end. Wrock lifted his hands, "You may start."

Neir walked forward cautiously, Wrock eyed his every movement. Their footsteps were steady, moving at a rhythmic pace.

Wrock almost frowned, if it was what he thought it was then. . .

Wrock approached and Neir threw out a few strikes. They were solid and well practiced, but predictable.

Wrock smoothly dodged the blows, "Your movements are stiff, relax your body. A pugilist must be flexible."

Neir seemed to follow the instructions as he continued attacking. Wrock still easily moved through the blows, he even occasionally adjusted Neir's posture as they attacked.

"Wrong, a punch needs more than just your arm."

Wrock continued to guide Neir for half an hour. Once he noticed that Neir was on the verge of collapsing he raised a hand, "Enough, rest for now."

Neir collapsed onto the ground and took several deep breaths whilst Wrock walked over to Kayne.

"How is my son?"

Wrock paused for a moment before answering, "I shall be blunt. He has no talent."

Kayne closed his eyes, "It is as I feared then."

"He follows instructions well, and has the determination. However that is the limit. He is unable to adjust properly in battle. I do believe this is not the end of the road for him, for there may be other options."

"Please do tell."

"Find him mentors in the other paths of a pugilist, he may have no talent with his fists. But I have reason to believe that may not be the case with other paths."

"I shall try to convince him. Thank you."

"I simply held up my end of the deal."

"And so shall I. My servant over there will lead you to my treasury. Once you have picked a suitable reward they will then lead you to the Royal Blacksmith. Oh and please, take this."

Kayne handed Wrock a token and explained, "My personal token, with this any issues you have will be solved immediately. You will also be granted permission to enter my property without any issues."

"You have my thanks then."

"As do you."

. . .

"We are here, please take to your liking."

A thick vault door creaked open and inside was a dazzling sight. The amount of objects inside was enough to change the future of a whole town.

Still Wrock wasn't going to take as many as he pleased. He agreed on a single object, and intended to take only one.

Ten minutes later Wrock sighed, there was simply too much!

He couldn't tell what was a decent Accessory for mage, all them seemed good in his eyes. Yet he was aware of the keen eye of Kan'na.

He closed his eyes, 'Fine then, I shall accept that no matter what I pick, there is something better.'

After another five minutes he finally found one, he picked up the item and examined its physical look.

He inwardly nodded, this was good enough. Placing the object in his inventory he then left. The servant outside greeted, "You're here! I shall lead the way to the Royal Blacksmith."

"My apologies for taking a while, who knew picking an Accessory for someone else was so difficult. You learn something new everyday."

The servant's eyes narrowed slightly, but they said nothing.

Akiol quietly watched Givale eat. He was more intrigued with her progress. A good part of her hair had turn almost pitch black, however he noticed some of the parts were a deep blue.

He thought to himself, 'Deep blue. . . water? No surely not, it would be a lighter tone.'

A thought struck him, could it possibly be?

"Hah, that was good!"

"Satisfied?"

Givale nodded, "Mm!"

"It's been around half an hour, we still have two hours until we meet with Tilia. Want to train your mana control?"

Givale immediately grew excited, "Yes! I've been waiting!"

"Alright let's go to a suitable spot once I pay for this."

. . .

Akiol gestured for Givale to sit, "Currently you need to increase your affinity with mana, this takes time and talent."

"I have talent!"

Akiol raised a finger, "Remember what I said?"

"Oh. . . sorry."

"As long as you remember. Since you know how to control your own mana, you will have to mingle with the ambient mana. Now, slowly release your mana."

Givale concentrated and did as she was told. As Akiol watched carefully he almost wanted to wipe away sweat.

Givale's innate talent for this was insane! Perhaps it was just the power of a dragon, but he could tell that the mana was taking a liking to her almost immediately. He began doubting if he had the qualifications to teach her.

Yet he didn't allow this feeing to show itself, "Good, now maintain that output and remember this feeling. Working together with mana is the only way to progress."

Givale gave a slight nod and focused her efforts. Akiol was glad she was highly enthusiastic on learning this, it would benefit her greatly in the future.

After making sure Givale was maintaining a steady pace he walked a distance away from her.

He closed his eyes and took a breath. Immediately a raging orange aura surrounded him. He remained still for a quarter hour, hardly anything happening.

Akiol was taking the suggestion from Paul into play. However he couldn't put it into practice. Controlling Aura proved to be significantly harder than he expected. Perhaps it was due to the developers suppressing Aura, or perhaps he couldn't quite get the hang of it.

Akiol wasn't about to blame the developers for the lack of results, if anything he grew excited. It was something new! Everything he had been doing in the game since he joined was, in one way or another, was from his past world. From mana control, to techniques, even the realm of {Hyperfocused Battle Intensity} and {Absolute Territory}. However this was something completely foreign! Nothing he knew from his past life seemed to work with Aura!

Like a kid with a new toy Akiol's excitement increased. He immediately increased his attempts severalfold, aiming for even the slightest degree in control.

The best way to explain how it felt to Akiol was to think of a candle. Whenever Akiol used Aura to strengthen himself he would 'light the candle' allowing the power to burn freely. However now he wished to control the flame of that candle, the degree of difficulty had simply skyrocketed.

Yet he did not grow discouraged, instead he lost himself in producing any results.

An unknown amount of time went by, Akiol would not have stopped if he didn't notice a sudden change in mana.

He looked over to Givale and almost did a double take. The mana was synchronizing with hers almost perfectly!

It had only been a few hours right?!

Akiol opened the Forum page and was thoroughly shocked, it had been a whole day!

He had been standing for three in-game days!

He immediately opened the group chat.

Akiol: @Tilia

Akiol: I'm so sorry! I lost track of time, do you still need assistance?

Tilia: Oh hey, I had Yielya help me with it so don't worry. However if you are free I do wish to check something out.

Akiol: Alright, where do we meet?

Tilia: Same place we were going to.

Akiol: I'll be there soon.

Akiol closed the chat and walked over to Givale, "Alright, that's good for now. You have made fantastic progress."

Givale opened her eyes and looked up, "Really?"

"I wouldn't lie about this, however we have been practicing for quite a while now. So let us take a break."

"Okay."

Givale stood and the two walked to the agreed meeting place. As they arrived Akiol noticed Tilia already waiting.

Akiol greeted, "Yo."

Tilia looked over and raised an eyebrow, "Here was I thinking you would go silent for another day or two."

"It wasn't intentional!"

Tilia let out a light laugh, "Alright I'll believe you, you ready to go?"

"Yeah, where we going?"

"Making a stop at the Adventurers Guild first, then we shall make a stop at a player shop."

The three walked throughout the Kingdom occasionally stopping to buy a treat or two for Givale.

Within a short timeframe they arrived at the Adventurers Guild. It looked far more grand in a Kingdom than in a City or below.

It was spacious and clean, decorated with well maintained plants and magic lighting. A section of a wall was dedicated to receptionists, who were constantly busy.

Tilia said, "Stay here, I shall finish my business soon."

Akiol nodded as she ran off. As he waited he watched as Givale examined the place with sparkly eyes.

She exclaimed, "This place is huge!"

"The Tower was probably larger."

"Of course it was, but it was white and plain. This place has so much in it, yet has so much space!"

"It does look nice."

Akiol's attention was caught, for on a wall a board full of papers was visible. It's look contrasted with the place, like a last minute add on.

He asked a nearby player, "What's that for?"

The player looked over and answered, "You don't know? It's a missing people board, the people missing have been rising recently so they put a board up. However since the rewards aren't worth the effort people don't take the jobs."

"So it's just left there unattended?"

"I think there is a group that is working to find them all. Call themselves. . . NPC protectors I think."
