Kapitel 50: Uninvited guest

"That should keep him busy for a long time," Iris remarked, as she walked into her new office with Cyrina on her heels. 

The commissioning of the new building went smoothly, uneventfully even. Though she wanted to deal more with Barrister Mendez, she decided to do it slowly and painfully. 'What's the rush, when you can show them a semblance of hope and snatch it right back when they least expect it? Tsk' 

She had a wicked glint in her eyes that Cyrina could describe as amusing. After finding out about the lawyer's role in the attempt to snatch the company from her, she didn't pity the lawyer a single bit. After all, if someone could trust you and propel you to fame, yet you choose to bite the fingers that feed you, they could as well take everything back and leave you hungry. 

"Okay. So, if barrister Mendez turns your fiance in, what would you do about it? Wouldn't he just go scot-free?" Cyrina couldn't understand the reasoning of her boss.
