"Aaaahhhh!!!" Iris screamed out in pain, her hands tightly clutching her head. Tyler could feel her pain, but he needed to keep the holy flames burning, without uttering a single word to interrupt Iris' spells.
If Tyler spoke, he would interfere with the ritual, and a lot of things could go wrong. As a result, he could only keep his worried gaze on her while trying to mind-link her.
"Calm down, sweetheart. I know it's difficult, but please listen to your heart. You do not wish to be controlled by such a vile presence. You want to rid yourself of that vindictive witch. Iris, push her out. Push her out, Iris. You can do this! Push her out!"
It became a mental battle, and Iris' resolve became hardened at the prompting of Tyler, but she wasn't the only one who was affected by Tyler's words. Minerva's consciousness also picked the fluctuation coming from the immortal, and she vowed to destroy Iris if she couldn't have her body.
What would you do if you were Alaric Bloodraven?
