Kapitel 90: Meeting and Wine

Mattheus, with a certain feline perched on his shoulder like a giant parrot, found himself walking into the tail end of an argument between a giant of a man—whose posture and tone screamed military leader—and the Hierophant, who he figured was the chief priest in hindsight.

Duke Tellus was sitting at the desk, focusing on the two men but also staying silent rather than joining the argument. The ruler of the Basilea Duchy had that slight neutral look about his face, making Mattheus wonder if his grandfather hadn't just zoned out from what was probably a repetitive argument.

It had been several hours since that incident in the original temple for the Goddess Basilea, after all. He had a small private meal with his mother, where Honoria Crown had mentioned that the duke was originally meant to join them before the unexpected issue came up from the "divine portent."

At least, that was what people were calling it. 

Divine portent.
