HOWEVER, she has seen no animals around the neighborhood except for dogs and that figure her eyes are fixated on is nowhere near a dog.

The figure starts to move left and right.

She slowly reaches for the curtains, lifting them up carefully but curiously. She soon gets a clear view and a shaky breath escapes her lips.

A black cat.

A black cat is on the fence, moving left and right and once it spots Aubrey through the window, it stops moving and sits, staring straight at her. It licks it's paws and continues moving its tail slowly and confidently.

Aubrey sighs, staring back at its green and grey eyes. She closes the curtains immediately, knowing fully well it is the work of the gods, to be more specific—Kai. She ignores it.
