As Clone Number Two approached the city gates, an unexpected trio came into view—Prince Gaerik flanked by his knights, Swain with his classmates, and, of course, Plink, surrounded by a group of female adventurers. Somehow, the combination was both amusing and absurd.
I shifted the pattern on Clone Number Two's body to match the surrounding environment, making myself nearly invisible. Concealment magic had become second nature by now, almost as effective as Phantom's own skills.
Seeing the three of them together like this felt like fate. I decided to hang back and observe, amused by whatever ridiculous antics were bound to unfold.
"I'll be the man to become a hero!" Plink declared confidently, "How about it? Will you be mine?"
The female adventurers barely glanced at him, their silence loud and dismissive.
"Tch! Ignore me, will you? Just wait till you see me in action!" he muttered, undeterred.
