Kapitel 39: Chapter 39: Wedding, part 4

The carts made a stop in front of Nikola's house and the newlyweds jumped out first.

Bjorn and Azazel helped the two elderly people down from their cart and let them walk behind the newlyweds.

The first thing Wei Caihong did once inside was to make a beeline for the bedroom to put on some socks. Nikola was left to be pushed to the head of a table as he waited and to have women place food before him.

He asked them to place only one plate and cup for both Wei Caihong and him, and they began to tease him that he was a very dutiful wife.

When Wei Caihong came in, feet clad in socks, Nikola was arguing that he was a husband, not a wife.

"You are my husband," Wei Caihong said as the women booed him and Nikola looked at him with appreciation. "But you are also my bride."

Nikola sighed, blushing. Not being able to help himself, Wei Caihong added:

 "My nymph of a blushing bride."
