Kapitel 50: Liars Turn Into Puppies
Seeing that it was quite late, Xie Yunjin urged, "Okay, go to sleep now."
The three little ones stopped talking and quickly closed their eyes to drift off to sleep.
Hearing no more sounds coming from the west bedroom, Xie Yunjin assumed that Lu Jiao and the Fourth Child must have also fallen asleep.
Then Xie Yunjin turned to look at the three little ones beside him. He noticed that they looked very clean. Not only that, but their little faces were also no longer a sallowy yellow. Lu Jiao got up early the next day to make breakfast. She decided to just stir-fry some vegetables and mushrooms and cook some porridge.

The three little ones were asking about the story Lu Jiao had told the youngest child yesterday.
The Youngest Child eloquently told the three little ones the story she had told him last night.
After the story was over, the four little ones sat down in the yard and began discussing the story in detail.
Xiaohei and Huahua were strolling around them, making cute sounds from time to time.
The atmosphere in the yard was quite lively.

"Mother, how come the monkey and the deer can talk?"

Lu Jiao wanted to roll her eyes, but she remembered that now she is a mother and, hence, she must act in a dignified manner. So she refrained from rolling her eyes, turned around, and explained to the four little ones beside her.
"This is just a story. It does not mean that the little monkey and the deer can speak in reality. Stories are made up by people so that they can make other people understand certain truths. For example, I told you this story because I want you to understand that everyone has their own strengths and weaknesses, so don't think you're the best just because you have some abilities."
After listening to Lu Jiao's words, the four little ones finally let out a long snort, and the second child grumbled, "So it's like this. Then write about people. Why must they write about the little monkey Houzi and the deer Xiaolu?"
He looked down at Xiaohei and Huahua at his feet after he finished speaking, and instantly became curious, "Say, can Xiaohei and Huahua talk?"
Lu Jiao no longer paid attention to them. She strained out the decocted medicine and divided it into two bowls, one of which was left to cool naturally and the other was put into the space when the quadruplets were not paying attention.
"Okay, go wash your face and hands and have breakfast."
Lu Jiao had previously taught the four little ones how to wash their faces and hands, and now the four little ones were able to do it themselves.
Lu Jiao brought breakfast to the east bedroom and let the four little ones eat by themselves while she fed Xie Yunjin.
"After breakfast, I will set off for my parents' house. I've already made lunch and left it in the pot. When I leave later, I will greet the second grandma and ask her to come and feed you."

The Youngest Child leapt up to his feet and said, "Mother, then don't go to Grandma's house."
The other three little guys nodded in agreement and looked at Lu Jiao, who was sitting beside the bed, with eager anticipation.
Lu Jiao ignored the four little ones, who were standing by the table, looked at Xie Yunjin with a frown, and said, "Otherwise, I'll ask the Second Brother to come and accompany you."

They just don't want their mother to go to her parents' house. After all, what if Mother decides to not come back?
The four little ones are very worried. Not even the rice porridge seemed tasty.
After Lu Jiao fed Xie Yunjin breakfast, she took out the bowls and chopsticks, and sat down with a bowl of porridge for herself.
Lu Jiao glanced at the four little ones who still had not finished eating and noticed that the four little boys were not in a good mood. After a little thought, she concluded that the four little boys must be worried that she would go to her parents' house and not come back.

When she finished speaking, the four little boys looked up in unison and stared at her. Lu Jiao put down the bowl, touched their heads, and said, "Don't worry, I'll definitely be back in the afternoon."
"Mother, if you don't come back, I will start crying, and I'll keep crying until you come back," the Youngest Child said, walking over to Lu Jiao's side and staring at her with his watery peach blossom eyes.
The eldest child, the second child, and the third child, all looked at the youngest child in fright. Is he serious?
The second child and the third child looked at each other and thought for a moment before turning to Lu Jiao and saying, "We'll also cry with the Fourth Brother."
The eldest child walked over to Lu Jiao's side and held out his hand, and Lu Jiao gave him a strange look.
"Promise me," The Eldest Child said solemnly, signalling towards his hand, "If you lie, you'll turn into a puppy."
Lu Jiao looked at the eldest child, speechless, wondering who had taught him this?
But, going by the eldest child's serious expression, he had already made it clear that if she didn't promise it with her fingers, it meant that she was lying, that she wouldn't come back, so she helplessly reached out her hand to promise him.
The Second Child, the Third Child and the Fourth Child, all turned around and stared at the eldest child, "Big Brother, is what you said true? If someone lies, will they really turn into puppies?"
The Eldest Child said solemnly, "Really."
Now the second child, the third child and the fourth child felt relieved, and they turned around happily and said to Lu Jiao, "Mother, can you take us with you next time you go?"
They haven't been to Grandma's house yet.
This time, Lu Jiao agreed to their request without any hesitation, "Okay."
The four little ones finally stopped worrying about Lu Jiao not coming back, because if Mother lied, she would turn into a puppy, so she would definitely come back.
Lu Jiao finished her breakfast, washed the dishes, and fed Xie Yunjin the medicine before she left the house. She then went to the second grandma's house next door and asked Xie Xiaobao to help her for the day, in case anyone came to their house to make trouble.
Xie Xiaobao agreed, and Lu Jiao gave him three candies as a gift to thank him.
Xie Xiaobao happily went next door to accompany the quadruplets.
Lu Jiao, relieved, slung the basket on her back and headed for her parents' house.
The Youngest Child, who had been playing happily with Xie Xiaobao in the yard, suddenly rushed out, stood in front of the door and burst into tears, waving his little hands while crying, "Mother, you must come back."
