Kapitel 10: The Fiction Summoner: Chapter 10

Alex opened his eyes and saw that he was still in that little wooden hut.

"So it wasn't a dream? ...."

He thought about what happened yesterday and couldn't help but think it was a dream.

It took Alex a few moments before he started to get up and get dressed.

He only had the clothes with which he came into this planet.

As he puts on yesterday's clothes he thought about where he could get new clothes.

He opened the [Shop] and saw that many clothes were also sold there.

When Alex saw that, he was even more certain that this [Shop] only sells human-friendly things.

He didn't know but he had a hunch that the [Shop] sold completely different things for other Races.

Possibly even other Races don't have even a [Shop] and have a completely different comparable system to replace it.

Alex personally hopes that the Humans are special in this competition, but he doesn't think that's really the case.

He wasn't so arrogant as to actually believe that.

Alex, who was fully dressed, first opened his [Fiction Discount Shop] and looked at what new offers there were.

Now that he had over 1500 gold coins he should be able to afford several things.

He looked at the first offer and he showed a surprised expression.

[Introduction: Boa Hancock is the captain of the Kuja Pirates and was the only female Warlord of the Sea prior to the organization's disbandment. Hancock has extraordinary skills in hand-to-hand combat, supplemented with her Devil Fruit abilities ]

[Note: her three measurements are B111-W61-H91]

[Quantity: 1]

------

"what the f*ck is this [note]? who writes it? why do humans have a feature like that?...wait...it makes sense when I think about it more...sadly."

Alex stopped thinking about the [Note] and Boa's measurements.

He looked at the price of this summon and he noticed that this summon cost only 1% of the original price.

Unfortunately, that price was about 8 times what Alex earned yesterday from "monster" killing.

Even if he today scraped together enough money, Alex didn't feel like he could necessarily control Boa Hancock.

Boa Hancock's dislike for men is very strong and Alex doesn't think he can conquer her as easily as Luffy.

Hancock saw Luffy as a man who, being immune to her charms despite seeing her naked, could not be allowed to exist. She refused to believe his story of being sent to the island by Bartholomew Kuma and ordered his execution. She also thought he was just like all men in the world, selfish and arrogant, but was proven wrong and was later moved by his acts of selflessness.

Alex can feel lust and is not completely immune like Luffy. That alone would be a big problem.

He would even have trouble looking into her eyes all the time, let alone if she was using her Devil Fruit on him.

The only way Alex could think of it is for him to see Hancock naked with enough loyalty that she doesn't immediately turn him to stone and then quickly convinces her to talk about her past and slave brand before her loyalty drops too low.

Then he would probably feel real sympathy and Hancock would hopefully treat him a bit like Luffy. but Alex wasn't sure it would really work.

is just a theory and so much could go wrong.

Alex wasn't sure if he should buy Boa Hancock or not even if he makes enough gold to do so today.

But he noticed something else when he looked at Boa's attributes and skills.

Boa, like Gandalf, did not have access to all of her abilities.

Boa Hancock only had two skills when she was supposed to have more. She should own at least all three Haki types.

-----

[Skill: Mero Mero no Mi]

[Rating: C+]

[Introduction: Mero Mero no Mi is a Skill that allows a range of attacks which use emotions of lust or perversion to transform opponents into stone. Petrification can also be achieved through physically striking an opponent, although the only area that is turned to stone is the contacted area, as opposed to the entire body. While the fruit's powers, specifically the aforementioned technique, use the focused lust of a user's victim to fuel the petrification, if the intended targets have no sense of lust or cannot see her (such as being blind) or simply does not find the user beautiful in their own perspective, then the powers are nullified.]

-----

[Skill: Haoshoku Haki]

[Rating: C]

[Introduction: Haoshoku Haki is a Skill that allows the user to exert their own willpower over others. When activating this skill, all hostile creatures within a 1000-meter radius that have a spirit rating below D- become unconscious. ]

-----

Also, these skills work a bit differently in this world.

But Alex noticed something else that he considers more important.

Hero-type Summons often have [Potential] that is better than their Summon rating.

In addition, these Hero-type Summons have more skills than normal Summons and are therefore often more versatile.

Alex looked at the next items/summons and he realized that he still had not enough money for most of them.

The discounts are just too random and many items are just too useless.

But Alex suddenly saw a skill he could afford.

-----

[Skill: Nen]

[Rating: C+]

[Shop price: 75,000 gold]

[Price: 750 Gold]

[Introduction: By purchasing this skill you automatically master almost all Basic Nen Techniques (Ten, Zetsu, and Ren,) and all Advanced Nen Techniques (Gyo, In, En, Shu, Ko, Ken, Ryu). Hatsu must be developed by the user himself, but within the first Hatsu's development, the created speed of the Hatsu is dramatically improved. The Aura amount depends on the User's Physical and Spirit rating.]

****

I won't explain everything about nen because it takes too long and is too complicated, but I will roughly summarize the Basic and Advanced Nen Techniques. (Hatsu comes up a lot in the hxh story so I won't explain it. Also, I'll explain it a bit in the story later.)

just read the [Pros:] text for a very brief summary (is not very precise but enough to understand it roughly)

Ten is the process of keeping the nodes open, but also having aura flow through and around the body rather than away from it. Pros: offers limited protection against physical attacks, can even maintain it in their sleep, reduces one's aging.

Zetsu stops the flow of aura from their body altogether. By closing all of their aura nodes, the user is able to halt all outflow of their aura like water from a valve, making their presence much harder or even impossible to sense. Pros: useful for stealth

Ren focuses on outputting a larger amount of aura than Ten, projecting it outwards explosively.[3] This amplifies the user's physical strength and durability and provides a large pool of aura for any advanced techniques or individual skills they decide to use, albeit at the cost of expending said aura. Pros: increases Strength and Physical but cannot be used continuously

.

Advanced Nen Techniques:

Gyo is an advanced application of Ren by which a Nen user concentrates a larger than-normal portion of their aura into one specific body part. It increases the strength of that one body part, but leaves the rest of the body more vulnerable. Pros: Allows the user to see invisible creatures and objects.

In is an advanced form of Zetsu used to render one's aura imperceptible, even to other Nen users, effectively concealing it. Unlike Zetsu, however, In does not stop the user's aura flow; instead, it hides it, making it impossible to perceive with any of the five senses or extrasensory perception. Pros: improved Zetsu

En is an advanced application of Ten and Ren. With Ren, aura usually envelops only a small amount of space around the user's body. En is when one extends their Ren so that their aura extends further than normal, then uses Ten at the same time to contain and give shape to that aura, normally a sphere. Pros: Allows perception of almost anything in the radius.

Shu is an advanced application of Ten. Shu allows a Nen user to enshroud an object with their aura and to use that object as an extension of their own body. For example, one could use Shu to extend their Ten around a weapon, which would strengthen and protect it. Shu can also be combined with other techniques, such as Ko. Pros: improves weapon handling.

Ko is a combination of Ten, Zetsu, Ren, Hatsu, and Gyo in which all of the user's aura is concentrated into one particular body part. This makes that one body part extremely powerful, but at the cost of leaving the rest of the user's body completely unprotected. Due to the risk it carries, Ko is regarded as a purely offensive technique. Pros: extremely increases the strength of a body part.

Ken is the advanced form of the basic Ten and Ren techniques. Ken allows a Nen user to guard against attacks from any direction, but a large amount of aura produced makes it tiring to maintain. Pros: Boosts Physical extremely.

Ryu is the term for use of Gyo while in a state of Ken to perform real-time offensive and defensive value adjustments. If Ko dedicates 100% of one's aura to offense or, much more rarely, to defense, and Ken splits it evenly between the two, Ryu is redistributing one's aura according to any other percentage (e.g., by focusing 70% of one's aura in one fist and 30% everywhere else as one is about to strike, or 80% in one's leg and 20% everywhere else to block an incoming kick). Pros: Extremely useful in real-time combat and very versatile.
