She hits all 100 targets in the preliminary round; achieving a perfect score!
A beautiful smile blossomed on her face as she gracefully raised her CAD in the air!
The wind lightly carried her long black-hair; enhancing her beauty even more!
What accompanied her action was a booming scream as the crowd burst into cheers!
She turned towards the crowd and smiled which only added more fuel to the raging passion displayed by the crowd.
Even though, it was obvious that she was smiling for Erik, who sat in the front row; the crowd was just too enchanted by her to even pay attention.
"Mayumi!" (Crowd)
"Go First-High School!" (Crowd)
"Yay, Go! Mayumi!" (Crowd)
"What a beautiful performance!" (Crowd)
"Please marry me!" (Crowd)

Erik would have stood up to go on a hunt if not for Suzune holding him down!
"They are just excited, Erik! Relax!" (Suzune)
Suzune had to hold herself from snickering at Erik's restless behavior, never has she seen him act like a teenager due to his ever-present calm persona.
As indifferent as he seems; he is very possessive towards Mayumi.
Clearly, he loves her very much but; he is just not good at showing his feelings to her.
"Pray that I don't find you!" (Erik)
Snorting in mock anger, Erik sat down and resumed to look towards the arena.
Even though the stands were quite far from the arena; Mayumi could see everything crystal clear, courtesy to her "Crystal Eyes".
She smiled happily after watching her fiancee's agitated expression and turned to walk towards the pavilion.
Since the preliminary round was over, it was time for the next event to begin.

"The next event is [Battle-Board] right?" (Suzune)
Suzune had a serious expression on her face as she questioned Erik about the order of the events; just to make sure that they were on the same page.
"Yes, Mari will be participating in that event." (Erik)
"She is probably getting ready to enter the arena." (Erik)
"She should be appearing soon." (Erik)
Erik confirmed Suzune's statement, he could feel that she was nervous about this event.
She can't be blamed for being nervous, [Battle-Board] was a dangerous event where anything could go wrong!
Mari was competing in the official division for Battle Board, where the participants race over a 3 km waterway.
This event was designed to test the sheer control one had over their magic and how efficient were they while casting different spells.

"Uhm...Shiba-san?"
"Could you be my engineer during the [Newcomer's Division] for [Battle Board]?" (Honoka)
Honoka is someone whose appearance would easily qualify within the boundaries of cuteness.
She also has very large breasts and a curvaceous figure.
At the beginning of the year, Honoka appeared as one of the very few people that did not discriminate against Course 2 students.
During the Morisaki event, she was about to use light-type magic to stop Morisaki Shun's group during the first day of school before then Student Council President, Saegusa Mayumi and the Public Morals Committee Chairman Watanabe Mari stopped them.
However, her attitude went about a complete turnaround after Tatsuya covered up the incident and got her off the hook.
She apologized and introduced herself, which then resulted in her hanging out with him and his gang; becoming one of their closest friends along with her best friend, Shizuku.
Currently, she and the other [Newcomer's Division] participants were inside the whole room, looking forward to seeing Watanabe Mari perform.
The match had yet to start, Honoka turned towards Tatsuya and expressed her desire for him to be the engineer for her during the newcomers' division for Battle Board.
"Uhm? Sure...I guess." (Tatsuya)
Finding nothing strange with Honoka's words, Tatsuya agreed without any extra reactions.
"Stupidly dense!" (Other Girls)
Erika had a tired expression on her face and Shizuku looked bored; as if she had already expected this would happen.
Whereas, Mizuki has a confused expression on her face as she tried to contemplate the situation.
Tatsuya, of course, did not understand Honoka's real intention and was labeled as a blockhead by the other girls.
It wasn't his fault for being unable to display any kind of emotions but other girls were oblivious to his condition.
"Look like the match is about to begin." (Erika)

"Show them who is the boss!" (Crowd)

Mari, like Mayumi, was cheered by a crowd of fans as she entered the arena.
While Mayumi's crowd had more male followers, Mari's contained, female followers.
For them, Mari represented a woman with an extremely well-tempered personality!
Her absolute confidence and faith in her skills made her a powerful magician.
"Alright! Everyone, please take your places!" (Organizer)
One of the organizers took a mic in his hand and beckoned the participants to get ready to race.

In the middle of the arena, the ground split up as a huge clock emerged from the ground.
The organizer moved to highlight the clock using his magic.
"As you can see, this giant clock will represent the start-up of this race. The race will begin when the hands of the clock hit 12:00." (Organizer)

"Go!" (Organizer)
As soon as the hands of the clock hit 12:00.
The loud whoosh resounded throughout the place!
Boom!
The water exploded behind the racers as they burst into speed and started moving at high velocities.
As soon as the participants stabilized their boards, the participant from Fourth High attempted to disrupt the other players with a large wave but instead had her balance disrupted as well.
"Shit!" (Fourth High School)
"This bitch!" (Third High School)
"I need to stabilize myself!" (Second High School)
While the other participants were obviously having trouble trying to regain their momentum.
Mari, using her wits used [Fortification Magic] to stabilize her relative location with the board, and started using [Air-Magic] simultaneously to propel herself forward.
The other participants didn't stand a chance against Mari; allowing her to easily claim the first position.
"Wow!!!" (Crowd)
"Yay!" (Crowd)
The loud cheering effectively marked the end of the preliminary round of the second event.

"Mari has improved, her magic is even more stable when compared to the last year." (Erik)
Erik, of course, could see the difference in the quality of the magic sequence that Mari used in the race.
The magic she was currently using was much more refined when compared to her old self; a year ago!
"It makes perfect sense! If I remember correctly then Mari was training with Naotsugu-san to improve herself." (Suzune)
Suzune knew that Mari would take a few days off each week from school to train with Naotsugu.
She was very proud of her friend; the sheer level of dedication displayed by Mari was just heartwarming.
"Hm...looks like all that training did pay off! I dare say that she is thrice more skilled when compared to last year." (Erik)
Erik was happy for his friend, on a high level it is very hard to raise your skill level but with a proper coach, this becomes way easier.
"Our school is in the lead! If this continues then there is no doubt that we will dominate the [Official Division]." (Suzune)
Suzune was excited, the First-High school was dominating the competition; in [Official Division].
"Unfortunately, the points obtained in the [Newcomer's Division] are much more when compared to the [Official Division]." (Erik)
"The situation can change if we aren't able to secure top positions in the events; in [Newcomer's Division]." (Erik)
Erik spoke with a serious expression as he knew that the [Newcomer's Division] could turn things against their school.
"What are your thoughts about the [Newcomer's Division]? Can we win?" (Suzune)
Suzune knew that Erik had a much higher understanding of each participant who was participating in the [Nine-School Competition].
She has seen him spend quite some time finding the fails of each of the participants.
"With Minoru and Masaki participating in the events, I don't think we can secure the first position, the second position, or the third position may be possible." (Erik)
"Isn't it a bit hasty to outright give up on the first position? Masaki may be strong but I think we can beat him and George." (Suzune)
"Masaki is strong, Suzune. He is not far from me in aptitude but he isn't the reason why I am saying we wouldn't be able to secure the first position in major events." (Erik)
"Minoru is the real problem, I am well aware of his full capabilities and can tell you that; no one in the 'current' first-year representative team can hope to beat him." (Erik)
"Even with the restrictions placed on him by the level cap; he can't be bested by our 'current' team." (Erik)
"Is he that strong?" (Suzune)
"He should be able to go toe-to-toe with a 'certain strategic-level magician' for some time if he went all out." (Erik)
"What!? Now, that's a stretch!" (Suzune)
"Don't underestimate him, Suzune. He is Elder Kudou's grandson and one of my favorite juniors." (Erik)
"Your junior?" (Suzune)
"Well, I did teach him quite a lot about his powers back when Elder Kudou invited me to help train his grandson." (Erik)
"He is going to tryhard; to impress me with his skills, lol." (Erik)
