Kapitel 113: Chapter-112 Let us Play a Game!

"What do you think of the participants?"
Mayumi and Erik stood near the practice ground, watching the students play modern football through the window.
The beaming sunlight couldn't touch their hazy figures yet that didn't deter their vision whatsoever.
It was currently the physical education class, a modern football match was being played between boys of classes E & F.
Mayumi stood near her fiance as she asked for his opinion on the participants who would be representing their school in the [Nine-School Competition].
This was a big deal for Mayumi; this was the first international competition that was being conducted under her reign as the president.
Erik, her partner slightly turned towards Mayumi and opened his palm for the latter to hold; he was wearing gloves of course.
Confused by his strange gesture, she looked up to see his expression which didn't really help as it was in the default setting as always.
She held Erik's palm within her hand; only to feel a pull from the latter.
Erik pulled Mayumi beside him as a fisherman reels in a fish!
"You will do just fine."
"I do not doubt your decisions, Mayumi."
"I believe that you should have a little more faith in your capabilities.
"You are one of the smartest women I have ever encountered and I want you to have confidence befitting of the president."
A rare, gentle smile appeared on Erik's face as he gently poked Mayumi's forehead.
"Ouch!"
"Hey! Don't be mean to me!"
Mayumi slowly rubbed her forehead with an annoyed pout as she complained to Erik who had been treating her as a kid.
Erik finally tore away from looking at the students playing on the ground and turned to face his fiance.
The room they stood in was the deserted [Literature Club], other than Erik and a few genuinely interested students.
No one really used these rooms; especially not during lessons.
Meaning that Erik and Mayumi could finally spend some quality time with each other.
"Mayumi, I want you to attend the release of the new generation CAD that will be held a day after tomorrow."
"Uh? Sure, let me just inform father that you want me to be the Saegusa family member to attend the rele—"
Without skipping a heartbeat, Mayumi acknowledged her fiance's words and asked him to wait until she had gained her father's permission.
Erik slowly shook his head; disregarding Mayumi's previous words.
He gently took hold of Mayumi palms in his own!
He looked deep into those lovely crimson eyes with his equally superior "chartreuse phosphorescent" eyes.
His sudden gentle actions confused Mayumi as she didn't know what to do other than paying attention to his words.
"Mayumi!...that's not what I meant."
"What I want of you is that you attend this party as my fiance rather than the daughter of the Saegusa family."
"Not as the daughter of the Saegusa family but rather as my fiance and soon to be wife; hopefully."
Mayumi's eyes widened in shock before turning stingy red as drops of salty water appeared from the edge of her eyes!
Her palms wiggled out of Erik's hold as she intertwined their fingers.
"Are you being serious!?"
She still couldn't believe what she had heard just now!
Looking at her tear-stained face, Erik smiled as he leaned forward and lovingly planted a kiss on her forehead.
"Yes!"
Erik didn't have a chance to say anything else as Mayumi tightly wrapped her arms around him.
Pushing down the floor she elevated herself to reach Erik's height and kissed him on the lips!
You may question the reason behind her "seemingly over-the-top" reaction but you must understand the real meaning behind Erik's words.
Asking Mayumi to attend the event as his fiance means that he wants the world to acknowledge their relationship as "to-be" husband and wife.
Erik isn't the type of guy who lets others know his emotions or feelings, be it to his people or anyone else.
He has always struggled with emotional relations due to his "kinda closed and distant personality" but now he was trying to change for Mayumi.
He wanted to show some affection to her as he had always struggled to do that before.
But now....he has the perfect chance to show how sincere his love is for her.
This meant the world to the woman who loved him so much.
This; implied by her reaction which managed to shock Erik who never expected her to be so bold!
He was literally at a loss for words as he just looked at the petite woman hugging him; burying her face into his masculine chest.
After spending a good whole 10 seconds in shock; he returned the hug and wrapped his arms around Mayumi.
"I am so happy!"

Tatsuya is surprised by the agility of Yoshida Mikihiko, their classmate who has been alone since the start of the school year.
Both he and Leo approached the boy after the end of the match.
"Wow, Mikihiko! Never thought you were this agile!"
Leo took the initiative to strike a conversation with the relatively frail-looking boy from the Yoshida family.
"I may look frail but I am in good physical conditions."
Mikihiko also actively engaged in the conversation because he was also mystified with Tatsuya and his abilities.
Mikihiko belonged to the prestigious Yoshida family, renowned for their "Spirit Magic".
And like all Ancient Magic users, the knowledge is kept as a secret and is passed down by traditional methods of training requiring arduous labor.
Mikihiko was known as the prodigy within the family before an accident caused him to lose most of his Magic, skills, and abilities, and so is now reluctant to be known as Yoshida and insists people call him Mikihiko instead.
During their conversation, Erika's name was mentioned by Mikihiko which confused both Tatsuya and Leo.
"You know, Erika?"
Tatsuya asked in a neutral tone; he wanted to satisfy his ever-growing curiosity about Yoshida-san.
"Ah! Yes, I do Shiba-san...I have known her since we both were only 10 years old."
"So can you tell me why you have been avoiding me all this time!?"
The three boys turned to look in the direction of the noise.
Erika was approaching them with Mizuki who was wearing previous century bloomers.
It exposed her legs from the thighs down, which immediately caused the boys to turn red from embarrassment, except Tatsuya.
"I-I just needed some time to settle down."
"Humph!"
"A-Alright guys, l-lets not fight ok? W-We should go to the cafe, it's lunch break and we o-only have 20 minutes left to eat!"
Mizuki being the kind-hearted girl she is tried to pacify the situation by changing the topic.
"Yeah, let's go, guys! I am starving!"
Leo also went along with Mizuki and started to walk towards the cafe.
Others began to move, everyone except Tatsuya who was staring at the [Literature Room] with an odd expression.
'I felt like someone was watching us?'
'Hmm...strange.'

Erik was using [Ghost-Walker] while looking Tatsuya right in the eye.
Mayumi had already left the room to finalize the details of the competition; I must say that she was in an excellent mood.
"Shiba-san huh?"
"Let us play a game."
