Zane knew he was a coward. The annoying kind, even to himself. After receiving confirmation from the man that they were indeed clearing Phoenix's room, he had gone upstairs. To take a shower, he had been training for hours… That was the ready excuse he gave himself as he went back up.

He entered his room and closed the door behind him before heading to the window. Phoenix and Quinlan were still arguing, he had not looked at them for close to three seconds when Quinlan's piercing blue gaze accurately found him and he instantly closed his window. Why was he closing it, this was his house. But even after complaining, he did not open the window again.
