Kapitel 16: Chapter 16: Safe Space
(What do you think would happen if Tokoyami experienced a Quirk Awakening? How do you think it would improve? I personally think it would get rid of the light weakness but still make him stronger at night, but I'm curious what you all think would happen.)
(I would like to hear some of your suggestions for Chikyu's hero name. The one I'm thinking of using is either Quake or Tremor, but I feel like you guys can come up with something better than those.)
-3rd POV-
Chikyu had just arrived at his house from his run to prove to his mom that he was fine and that she had nothing to worry about. He didn't want her to worry over him, which was something she did very, very often. She knew he was very powerful and had incredible potential, but that never stopped her from worrying about him, especially considering his personality and how easy it could get him into trouble.
Walking into the lodge, he is immediately hugged by the entire Pussycats team in civilian clothing. It was an uneventful day, so the entire team decided to relax at the lodge, hence their civilian clothing.

He didn't push them away, and embraced them all as well. When they pulled away, he was hugged once more, but by someone else.
His little brother, Kota. Not by blood, but the same type of bond nonetheless.
Kota and Chikyu were an interesting duo. They were so different, but they had a very solid bond. Chikyu was incredibly protective of Kota, and Kota looked up to Chikyu.
Chikyu lowered himself onto one knee and hugged Kota.
Just like his mom, Kota often got scared when it came to the possibility of Chikyu getting into an impossible fight, and that fear was made all the worse by what happened to his parents. He didn't want to even think about losing anyone the same way ever again. So when he was told by Pixiebob that there was an attack at the USJ, he got very scared at the thought of Chikyu being killed.
Once they had all fully calmed down, Chikyu told his mother what he planned to do.
"I'll be going to Heaven's Garden for a bit, and I'll come back later to pick up Kota so we can do something.", he told her.
"You've been going there a lot lately. Did you finally find someone you like? You've gotta introduce me!", she teased.
While it was mostly just teasing, she was also curious why he went there so often. It was the most frequently that he ever went to the same place.
"I'm going to ignore that last part. I just like the scenery of it. Nothing more.", he responded to her question in his typical fashion.
"Hehe, alright. Stay safe, sweetie", she said, hugging him one more time before he went back out the door.
-Slight Time-skip-
Having arrived after his run, Chikyu opened the door to Heaven's Garden.
Hana was just about to start watering all the plants when she heard the door open. Turning to see who it was, she was pleasantly surprised to see that it was Chikyu, who was very quickly becoming her best customer.
"Ah, greetings, darling. You're here very early. Aren't you still supposed to be in school?", Hana asked.
"Well, if the day went like it was supposed to, yes.", he responded.
"What happened? Was there a fight?"
"Not between the students. We were meant to have rescue classes at the USJ, but we were attacked by villains."
"Oh lord! Was anyone hurt?"
"Not badly, luckily. Just shaken up. But it was definitely a nasty surprise to be faced with villains so soon."
"Come, sit. I can tell you came to calm down."
Surprised she noticed, he sat down on a bench near her counter. She came to him with a cup of water and gave it to him. He drank all of it in a single go.
"Thank you, but how did you know I came here to calm down? I wasn't shaking or anything.", he asked, curious as to how she so easily found out.
"This isn't my first job. I used to work at an orphanage for several years before I had enough funds to start Heaven's Garden. Needless to say that I've picked up lots of small things about expressions that most people miss. I could instantly see that you were still shaken.", she explained.
He didn't offer any verbal response, only going silent. Hana could easily tell he had a lot on his mind. She suddenly got an idea of something that he might like that could take his mind off it for now.
"I was about to water the plants before you entered. Would you like to help me with that?", she offered.
"...Yes. Yes I would", he answered after a short silence.
In calm silence, Chikyu and Hana watered the many, many plants around the shop. For Chikyu, it was exactly what he needed right now to take his mind off things. All his stressful thoughts of his complicated future melted away as he took care of the plants, the variety of each one further and further calming him until he was completely calm, and even further to the point where he couldn't keep down a small smile as he watered.
When all the plants were watered, Chikyu was feeling much, much better than before. It was a small activity and it wasn't much, but it was all he needed to relax. Plants were therapeutic for him.
"Much better now, I can see.", Hana said.
"Yeah. It's exactly what I needed.", he responded.
Sure, he was going to be thinking on the same topics again sometime again, but for now, he was calm and well.
As he went to leave, he turned to Hana once more.
"Thank you, Hana. I'm grateful for this.", he said, closing the door afterwards.
Hana smiled.
"You are a good child, Chikyu. You just try to hide it behind a face of indifference and apathy.", she said to herself. Despite her long years experience with children, he was rather special. She dealt with children who wouldn't open up, and she deal with children who hid their feelings a lot, but Chikyu was mysterious. There were clearly lots of things behind his every interaction, every emotion. More so than most.
"I wonder what the lord plans for you.", she pondered.
