Kapitel 24: Blood and Bytes

Beneath the vast Blackthorn University campus, the hidden passage seemed to stretch on forever. As Avery followed Michael through the darkness, her mind was a whirlwind of emotions and questions. Finally, they emerged into a dimly lit underground room. Avery broke the tense silence.

"Michael, I need answers," she whispered. "Where have you been all this time?"

Michael's face, familiar yet changed, reflected a mix of emotions. He sighed heavily, running a hand through his hair, a gesture that reminded Avery of their father.

"It's complicated, Av," he replied, using the childhood nickname that brought back a flood of memories. "After Father sent me away, I ended up with some... let's just say interesting people. They taught me about computers and the dark side of the digital world. I became someone else. Phantom."
