Kapitel 7: Storm
Even though she was quite scared from the fact he was behaving so differently, she decided to not let herself back down as the thought of her son having a father that relied on alcohol to 'fix' his problems made her shout even harder than before
"I won't shut up until you'll reply to me! Do you think I'll let you destroy this family all of a sudden without even trying to do something about it? It's just a job, Keiichi! You can easily find another one
with the degree you have, reputation or not, you are finding useless excuses and I won't back down on this..!"
Clenching his fists on the bed, he tried to control himself as he muttered
"Shut up..Shut up.."
Being so focused on her speech, she didn't hear him as she continued
"You think your life ended now that you lost a single job..? Where's the Keiichi I married? Bring him back!"
The fact she was ignoring him, brought him to be even more angry as he shouted at her back
"I don't want another job! My dream was to work for a design company, and I finally got what I wanted! But, now that useless bitch ruined the work of years as she took all the merits for my hard work...do you think I would just think of my 'family' while all I wanted was to achieve my dream!?"
Hearing his words, she stopped to talk as she realized what he had said..
"You said..your family isn't that important?"
Looking away, he didn't add anything while she felt her cheeks were really hot. Strangely, she could now move her legs freely as she went next to him. Slapping him as hard as she could, she added
"Get out of here.."
Rubbing the spot where he was hit, he didn't add anything as she shouted again
"Get out of here!!!"
Her cry made him blink again as he, without saying anything, got up of the bed while heading towards the exit of the room while Kyouya's mother looked at her hand, now trembling in fear that he would actually reply to her action from the look he had in his eyes...
'This...isn't my husband...'
Trying to stop the trembling in her hand, she glanced at him with the corner of her eyes while he was heading towards the door.
On the way, he was about to exit before he heard a voice behind him
"Where are you going, dad..?"
Thinking about it for a moment, Keiichi replied weakly
"I'll go to...buy alcohol."
Hearing his words, Kyouya shook his head as he wanted to stop him
"Wait..dad..you have to rest!"
With a sigh, he turned around to look at Kyouya as he added
"Kyouya, you shouldn't trust me. I'm not a good father"
His words, brought him to tilt his head in confusion while he added
"Don't worry about it, dad had his talk with mother and now I have to go buy some things for her"
With an 'ooh', he understood the situation but, the tone with which they were 'talking' before, did not seem to imply that they had clarified...
'I have to trust dad.. No matter what happened, they will surely be able to overcome it!"
Thinking this, he was still reluctant to let his father go out as some minutes before he was struggling to even be able to walk normally, but...knowing he had to trust him, made him decide to let his dad do as he pleased.
