The next day, Jia took a short trip down the hospital to meet Wu Yue, who had now regained her consciousness. 

"How are you feeling now, Miss. Wu?"

She weakly nodded her head. "It's still…painful though…"

"Don't worry. The doctors are here to give you the best treatment."

"Thank you, Inspector…"

Jia asked with a touch of softness to her tone, "Is it okay if I ask you some questions?"

She pressed her lips and indicated her agreement with a slight nod.

"Thank you, Miss. Wu," she smiled. "First, I would like to tell you that we have caught Wang Lei. He confessed to attacking you."

Tears pooled in her eyes, remembering that night. "I was scared…" she hoarsely said, "You were doubting me of Mrs. Dai's murder and also…I wanted to stop with this addiction. Grandma…came to know," she burst into quiet sobs, "Maybe, it's because I disappointed her that she passed away…That's why I wanted to stop…"
