Kapitel 209: Anxious

The shower took way longer than it should have taken with Daisy slipping in and out of her slumber in between. 

By the time, he made her wear one of his shirts, she was already dozing off again. 

Ryle picked her up in a princess carry and took her to the bed before slowly placing her down. He the covered her with the blanket and stood up. 

Just as he turned to leave, she grabbed his hand. 

''Where are you going?'' her voice was groggy and her eyes were barely open. 

Ryle leaned in and placed a soft kiss on her forehead, ''You haven't slept properly last night. Sleep well first.'' 

Ad as if his words had a calming effect, her eyes closed, letting go of the last thread of restraint.

Daisy woke up with a start, her heart racing wildly. 

The instant her hand touched the cold side of the bed, her expressions changed. 

She jumped out of the bed and walked out of the room, her steps a little unstable.
