"Can Azuma-kun win against such a beast?"
The young seeker asked in a sad voice, as she started across the night sky.
"I don't really know," doctor Tenma smiled but it lacked humour, "He has a fiery determination, a stubborn one might I add. But that alone is not enough."
He remembered the way Azuma had stared back at him, eyes filled with darkness as he connected pieces.
"It was you, wasn't it?" he asked, pressing the gun against Tenma's stomach.
The doctor said nothing. He did not care about the truth coming out.
So what if he had abused his status to stop Azuma from entering a deathly selection? It was for the best.
And he didn't really care what Azuma has to think.
Tenma glanced at Haru, "You must know that."
She was silent.
