"The Night Empire's growing Military Power is the main reason why I have come to see you today." No one in the room added any comment upon hearing William's words. Their side and the Military had been fighting a cold war for decades now. The ever-growing power of the Military was nothing but a constant headache for them. 

They also knew the reason William was here was because the Military had sent its Heroes after William to try to find his real identity. The Military wanted William to work for them. They were determined to do so. To achieve their goal they didn't care whether they needed to blackmail William or use some other means.
