Making sure to be careful, Nikolai smoothly traveled in his mist with Mine so that she wouldn't feel that they were currently moving. She was still unconscious, and he couldn't help but curse himself for arriving too late to try and stop her.

This morning, he had heard Mine talking to him through their bond. He felt her sincerity with how many times she tried to apologize to him despite already saying how sorry she was in person. 

Even though he wasn't replying and purposely ignoring her, she still continued to talk to him. She was giving him updates on matters regarding Ezekiel, and he really appreciated the effort she put into them. Somehow, he felt at ease knowing that the Ebodian royal family wanted to try their best to find ways how to extract Vulcan's soul and dispel it from Ezekiel's body.
