Kapitel 448: Blood on the floor- Part 3

Madeline refused to believe that Lucy was dead. A few seconds ago, she was still alive, talking to her, and now she looked lifeless. More tears spilt down her cheeks. She caught hold of Lucy's hand in hers, her vision turned blurry because of the tears that had welled up in her brown eyes before falling. Her hands were covered in hers and Lucy's blood, and she felt terrible for not being able to prevent this. 

Not in her dreams had she imagined that Samuel belonged to the group of demons and fallen angels who were trying to get to her. It was only this morning she had seen Lucy's face that was smiling kindly at her, but now the same face had blood on it.

Samuel, who had pulled out the icicle from his back, turned in the direction where Madeline was sitting on the ground, holding Lucy's hand. "It is a surprise that she lasted that long. I made sure to twist her muscles at the right places so that she could feel every single pain as her life left her body."
