Chapter Twenty-Five

When I wake up, Silas is still asleep, and I realize what I just did. Stupid mating season. I look down and…yep, I’m naked. Did I just agree to have sex with Silas for the season? And I was the instigator? I really can’t think clearly around him this mating season.

I look behind me and Kia is giving me a very judgmental look. “Oh shut up,” I hiss at her as I sit up.

“What are you doing?” Silas asks as he sits up. His eyes land on my bare back “Wait, what did we just do?”

I groan. “The hormone tangle.” I look at Silas and our eyes lock. Immediately I have to look away or I’ll kiss him.

I can feel him tense next to me. “Looks like it.”

I let out a hard huff. “Okay, so getting through this season without us doing the horizontal tango again is going to be difficult.”

“So what do you want to do?”

I run my hand over my face as I think. “Obviously, we can’t be left alone, or it leads to this,” I say as I motion toward us.
