Chapter Sixteen
After a few ariels and reef sightseeing I decide to head home. Kia is going to be so mad at me for making her wait. Then again, it is late enough that she’s probably sleeping. She is a giant cat, but she prefers day over night; an oddity with her species. Truthfully, she likely has just accepted my schedule.
When I surface I throw my clothes onto the floor of my room, landing with a hard squish. Hopefully I get to it before the housekeepers. They hate wet clothes on the floor. Kia is snoring happily, so I try my best to be quiet. Once towards the edge, I hear. “Where were you?”
I nearly jump out of my skin. “Silas, you scared me.”
“Oh I’m so sorry. Now can you get this damn cat off of me?”
I bite my lip to keep from laughing. “You gotta give me a minute.”
“Senja,” He whines.
