Their bodies were pressed so tightly together that they could hear each other's breathing and feel each other's heartbeat. 

He Xiyan's hands balled into fists while she clenched the blankets with the other hand.

She turned to look at Jiahang and saw that Jiahang was also looking at her.

They looked at each other for a while doubtfully before He Xiyan finally spoke. 

She couldn't help herself and asked, "Jiahang, do you not want Yuan Yuan to be here?" 

She still remembered what Jiahang said while they shared a meal earlier. He said that she would have to let him know in advance if Yuan Yuan were to come again next time. She caught the underlying intent in his words and knew that he didn't seem to want Yuan Yuan to come over.

Chen Jiahang's smile slowly faded and he looked conflicted for a quick second before that emotion disappeared. Then, he patted He Xiyan's shoulder and his arms tightened around her.
