There was not a sound as the crystalline skeleton hit the floor, the darkened sword still pierced through her midriff. How could an archangel die like that?
The silence was impenetrable as we turned back towards the demon lord. His arm was still raised from throwing the sword and on his vicious lips a small smirk was evident.
I had not even had the time to move as the sweeping evil of the sword rushed by us and I could not stop the cold fear that was racing through my body.
The archangel was basically a god in the magical world and she had not lasted a second in combat against the injured demon, standing before us.
Finally I shook myself free of the shock and managed to pull my gaze away from the demon, looking towards Azel. What were we going to do? Azel always had the answer in our most desperate times and as I looked towards her pretty face, I expected to see a calm and measured look.
I really don't know what to say here, but I truly want to thank everyone who took the time to read my book. I have always wanted to write one and the motivation from knowing people were reading my work was enough to drive me to keep writing. I feel incredibly thankful for all the comments, gifts, powerstones and everyone for simply reading. Thank you for making a dream come true.
