Chapter Forty

Alexander's POV

They had been searching frantically for Stephanie. Time was slipping away, and Alexander was losing his mind. Where could she be? If someone had taken her, who could it be? They had a suspect and had been trying to track him down as well. If that bastard had taken her, he should forget anything called life.

His phone rang, breaking him out of his reverie. It was Matt. Alexander picked up the phone hastily, hoping Matt had news.

"What's up, have you gotten anything?" he asked hopefully.

"Well, we were able to find the name the car was registered under. It was a Lee Thomas."

Lee Thomas? Who the hell was that? Probably a fake name. Matt confirmed his suspicion.

"We initially thought it was a fake name, but we did some digging and found something interesting—actually, a couple of interesting things. First, Jason's mother's maiden name was Thomas—Magdalene Thomas. Secondly, we found his middle name to be Lee."
