One of the detective's bullets had grazed the side of his stomach that day and he didn't go back home to where he was staying with Raquel because he feared that they might trace him, and take her away.

So, it was just Raquel alone just in the house for two days, with her burning his phone with calls to know how he's doing, since she insisted that she's going to come over to where he's hiding.

But now that he's back at the cabin where they were staying, he has walked in carefully not to wake her up, since she was passed out in the sitting room with her phone in hand, while he's in their bedroom fixing his wound.
