Arazharn said it so casually that Ru was startled more by the tone and lack of expression than by the content of the sentence. He swallowed hard and faked a wobbly smirk. "So, you find my face beautiful, Arazharn."

Arazharn inclined his head ever so slightly, the pearls over his cheek swaying with the movement. "Uh-huh. Very beautiful."

Ru blinked, taken aback, but determined not to lose his self-control in the debate. "So... do you want to burn me because you're jealous of my beautiful face?" he asked, tilting his head in mock curiosity.

Arazharn's lips curled upward. "What do you think?" he said, his voice barely above a whisper.

"It's ridiculous that you're jealous of me because..." Ru hesitated, then gently raised his head to meet Arazharn's gaze. "Your face is so beautiful."
