Kapitel 399: The Dessert Queen

The desert sand stretched a long way creating a canvas. The soft breeze would occasionally blow the sand making it dance in the air. 

There were no traces of water in sight nor any sign of life. However, the dunes in the distance held a charm of their own. It didn't have the soothing effect of flowing water. 

Neither did it possess the peaceful existence of trees swaying elegantly in the wind. The dunes had a tale of their own. Sometimes, the wind would be so harsh that it would be blown off completely. 

During another occasion, they received so much sand that they grew in mass. Sadly, there weren't many around to admire them.

Except for her. Cloaked in garments the colour identical to the colour of sand, a figure sat on the only rock in sight witnessing it. 

Time for her was like the grains of sand in the vast desert. They were uncountable. How long had she been there? She had simply lost the essence of time.
