Kapitel 235: Blood Debt

Lahan looked through the mirror that was set up in his private room. No. It wasn't his bedroom. It was the room located in the basement.

One would wonder why a king would prohibit his people from going to the basement. Not because he can't. Rather, it was because there were so many empty rooms around.

The explanation was simple. It was the only place in the entire kingdom where he could easily connect to hell.

He needed to talk to a friend about his initial crisis. After her words and the questions she posed, he had been in a state of confusion.

He wanted her as much if not more as she wanted him. However, he couldn't let go of Talia just yet. Don't get him wrong. 

He doesn't have an ounce of feeling for her. He just had a use for her that she had yet to fulfil. Talia knew it too. Maybe that would explain her confidence in him chasing others away.
