After the second prince was gone, the vice commander of the imperial knights and his other companion transformed into wolves. It was a battle of two against many, yet the knights showed no fear and didn't retreat.

Dionne tried to escape. However, her arm was grabbed by the mage. She looked back with pleading eyes, "Let me go…"

The mage shook his head and replied, "I'm afraid I can't do that."

A wolf jumped on them and lunged at Dionne. The wolf belonged to the enemy, but he showed no intent of killing her. The wolf bit on Dionne's arms and flung her to its back, but before it could run away, the mage raised his hand, and the ground beneath the wolf grumbled and cracked.
