Kapitel 177: Post Praimfaya Chapter 26

After Clarke and Abby broke their emotional embrace, Clarke turned towards Dyoza.

"Mom, there's someone here who needs a doctor," she said, gesturing toward Dyoza. "She requires medical attention. Can you help her?"

Abby's eyes shifted to Dyoza, looking at the woman for any sign of injuries. After a few seconds of silence, she nodded, while keeping her eyes on the woman's belly. "Of course, Clarke. I'll do what I can. Now I want everyone other than her out."

Clarke looked at Zoe and both of them had the same expression on their faces. Seeing that she too was worried, Clarke whispered, "Monroe, I don't think we should leave them alone."

Zoe nodded in agreement, having the same thoughts. "I don't trust her, and frankly, I don't even know if I can trust you," Zoe admitted quietly. "But I'd rather put my trust into you rather than her. We shouldn't leave Abby alone with her."

Abby, who overheard their conversation, placed a hand on her daughter's arm. "I understand your concerns, both of you," she began calmly. "But we have to give her a chance. Trust me, I'll be fine."

Reluctantly, Clarke and Zoe had to accept that Abby will not take no for an answer, but that didn't stop them from being worried, not when Clarke knew what Dyoza was willing to do for achieving her goal.

Even though he wasn't exactly a talker, Sergey saw that his friends were not exactly keen on accepting this outcome so he decided to interfere. "Clarke, Zoe, we'll stay just outside the door, and if something goes wrong or we heard even the tiniest strange sound coming from the room we'll go in."

Thankfully this was good enough for everyone and soon they left the room leaving Abby alone with Dyoza.

As the door closed, Clarke couldn't help but take one last look at her mother. She trusted her mother's judgment, but the situation was still not exactly good. Just as she left the room, she turned her head to Sergey. "Please, keep a close eye on them," she pleaded.

Sergey nodded. "We won't let anything happen to her," he assured Clarke. "We'll be right outside, ready to act if needed."

Meanwhile, Bellamy and I, alongside Miller left the second dawn bunker and headed towards the place where the rest of our friends choose to hide together with Madi. As we made our way back to the place where Monty, Echo, Emori, Harper, and Madi were staying, I couldn't help myself from being anxious about the future and about meeting my friends, that I have to admit, I kind of missed. It had been five long years since we had last seen each other, and the thought of reuniting with them brought a sense of warmth to my heart. Not to mention that I was dying from seeing if Madi was alright.

As we approached the familiar location, my eyes scanned the surroundings, searching for any sign of movement. And then, there they were, standing before me, most of them being glad that we made it back. Monty greeted me with a wide smile. Emori, always resilient and resourceful, surprised me by embracing me tightly. Harper, with her kind-hearted nature, welcomed me back with a smile on her face while holding onto my stepdaughter. Amongst them, Madi was most eager to see me again.

When she saw me, she rushed forward and enveloped me in a tight hug, burying her head into my chest as I kneeled down to her level. After that, we gathered together around the rover.

I cleared my throat, captured their attention, and began to explain. "Listen, everyone, we have something important to tell you." My voice trembled slightly as I continue, "Clarke... she's gone. She left with the prisoners, including Dyoza, to Mount Weather."

Silence fell upon the group as they couldn't believe my words. Echo didn't seem all that bothered by this, then again she was quite scared of standing anywhere near me. Monty's eyes widened while Emori grasped Harper's hand tightly. And Madi, the young girl who had come to call Clarke her mother, looked up at me on the verge of tears.

Bellamy stepped forward, as soon as he saw their reactions. "We believe that Clarke made this decision because Murphy and Raven are being held hostage by the prisoners. She couldn't bear to leave them behind, and she took it upon herself to find a way to rescue them like she always does."

Miller added, "As for why, well from what little I've seen and heard, Dyoza, seems to have a particular interest in finding Abby or at least a proper doctor."

Now, the next thing that we had to address to everyone was Octavia and frankly, I couldn't help but feel unease about speaking about her. So right on point, Miller took a deep breath and start telling everyone about Octavia.

"I know that everyone wants to meet Octavia, but I have to warn you guys, she's... different," Miller began speaking in a concerned manner, almost as if he was scared. "She became known as Blodreina, the Red Queen after she united the clans and formed Wonkru. She ruled with an iron fist, keeping every grounder in check, and to be honest that only happened because she had Indra behind her, helping her control the situation and deal with the grounders that couldn't accept that they are going to be led by someone like her."

No one said anything, since they were shocked to hear that Octavia had turned into something like this. If any of them didn't know better, they would have thought that she was always a grounder.

"She's my sister and I love her, but this Blodreina is nowhere near the sister I left years ago and now, I fear that she might see this as an opportunity to start a war against the prisoners and take their ship as well as the only place where life can still thrive," Bellamy sadly admitted. "And with the prisoners already holding our friends captive, the situation could escalate quickly into a long and bloody war that would definitely wipe out the last livable place on Earth."

Monty's eyes filled with disbelief as he listen to Miller's words. He shook his head, unable to fathom that their friend had transformed into something akin to the worst commander the grounder had. "No, it can't be true," Monty whispered in desperation. "Octavia, she's not like that. We must have misunderstood her, right?"

I exchanged a somber look with Miller and Bellamy, knowing very well why Monty would react like this. It was painful to witness Monty's denial, but everyone needed to understand that we might have lost our friend and that, sadly there might not be a way to bring the old Octavia back.

"Monty, I wish it weren't true, but it is. O has changed. She has embraced this role of Blodreina, ruling with an iron fist and ensuring loyalty from the clans through force."

Miller added in a sympathetic tone, "Indra, who has been at her side, has helped maintain control and keep the grounders in check. But it's not the Octavia we knew anymore. She's as ruthless as Lexa was, maybe even more ruthless than her considering her limited options ."

Before Monty or anyone could react, I took a deep breath, and with a heavy heart I decided to speak out my mind ."Guys, I understand how hard this is to accept. Octavia, our friend, has become unrecognizable. The Octavia we knew would never have order the violence and cruelty we've heard she has committed. It's a painful reality we must face. And sadly, right now we can't focus on that. We have to save our friends and soon if we want them alive since I for one don't trust Dyoza or any of her men to follow on with Clarke's plan."
