25% That Time I Got Reincarnated As Armour / Chapter 3: Chapter 2: Brawl

Kapitel 3: Chapter 2: Brawl

Millen thanked his benefactor, waving the friendly dragon goodbye as he walked towards an exit that Velmorta had mentioned. The path to the entrance was rather steep and seemed to be littered with monsters. After reaching the outside of his current cave room, he found what seemed to be a skeleton, but it was standing upright.

"Greetings, Do you possess-"

The skeleton rushed towards Millen, brandishing a curved sword as it attempted to slash him.

CRACK

Millen pushes his left gauntlet forward, trapping the skeleton's skull in his palm, crushing it in the next motion. The skeleton fell to the floor, leaving behind bones and rusted armaments.

"Perhaps I can temper myself with this monster."

Millen crouched next to the skeleton, sucking in all of the monster's power. The power itself was not much, but the experience of crushing the skeleton's skull somehow managed to unlock a new skill.

[Normal skill: skull cracker, acquired]

The protagonist decided to take the skeleton's curved sword as he did not possess his own weapon, taking it as his first ever weapon in this new world.

"I will Name this sword 'Canine'." Millen announced to himself.

Millen then walked further through the cave, encountering many more low level skeletons, defeating all of them with relative ease. Perhaps this new world and body are not bad at all, he didn't even feel a bit fatigued by all of this fighting. Instead feeling rather motivated to continue on towards the exit.

"I wonder if I can refurbish this old sword, I am starting to like it." Millen spoke.

CREAK

A wooden hinge opened from the roof of the cave, dropping a human from the height. The human fell to the floor flat on its back, groaning in pain.

"Perhaps this human can temper me better than the skeletons." Millen spoke.

Millen suddenly came to a realisation; he felt a lot more calm under pressure and he didn't mind the idea of killing. The former billionaire always held murder as a serious offence, but for some reason he didn't feel as hesitant anymore. The coldness of his plate armour had reflect onto his personality.

The human turned his head to the side to find Millen quickly approaching the latter.

"Sir...knight....could ya give me a hand...I fell from the upper floor...I request for you help sir knight..." the human spoke.

Millen moved closer to the human, identifying it as a male in his late 20s. Through closer inspection, Millen found traces of blood on the man's hands and found him to have a rather disgusting aura.

"Sir knight...please would come you please bandage me...?" The man asked.

"Who are you, human?" Millen asked.

"I am but a humble monster slay-"

CHOP

Millen grasped his sword and chopped the man's head off as he laid there, unable to defend himself from the protagonist's blade.

"Lies. That there on your hands is human blood."

Millen did not hesitate to absorb the man's soul to temper his armour, gaining some more power from the executed human.

[Extra skill: Executioner, acquired.]

Millen then proceeded to continue through the cave, battling more undead as he traveled further.

"Little Millen, I see you have killed a human already; how did it feel?" Velmorta's voice spoke.

"It did not feel like anything, I never appreciated liars, not in this life and not in my previous life." Millen responded.

"Very good, it seems you executed a human slaver. He was part of a group of ambushes at the top floor that were chasing a group of elves." Velmorta explained.

"So it seems my instincts are still sharp, thank you for informing me of that, Velmorta." Millen said.

"It's my pleasure, having a friend is rather hard at this age of my life." Velmorta chuckled.

"Now, I have a small request for you."

"What may that be, Velmorta?"

"Could you please clear out the slaver presence, it is ruining the aura around my living space."

"Gladly."
