"Sorry, I'm late." Lina rushed into the shop and towards the counter with an apology.
"What happened? She has been waiting."
"I know. I had a long night." She wearily sighed. "Where is she?" She looked over her shoulder to the sparse customers eating in and waiting for their orders.
"Over there," Philipa tipped her chin. "Tall, beautiful lady at the third table."
Lina shifted her gaze in the direction Philipa had mentioned and saw the lady, who she believed was Melissa Scott. She looked just like she had envisioned her to be when they spoke over the phone. Rich, elegant, and beautiful.
Turning back to Philipa, she placed a big tote bag on the counter. "These are for you. Share with the others."
"What is it?" Philipa leaned into the bag.
"The reason why I was late," Lina replied before starting towards the lady, who had been waiting for her and was now staring at her with acknowledgment in her eyes.
