Kapitel 40: Ava: Make Your Decision

Selene's words echo in my mind for a long time.

Selene's silence has me narrowing my eyes at the empty air. Selene!

I am not as young or as inexperienced as you, child. A heat does not overcome me in that way.

So, I'm young and inexperienced, and therefore I become a slutty ball of desire when I go through heat? Not fair.

In case you're reading and wondering: Wait. isn't the romance interest Lucas? did the author sneak a reverse harem in?

Lucas is Ava's love interest, and this is NOT a reverse harem.

Is Ava cheating? No. At this point in the story, Ava is not in a relationship with Lucas. We've seen Lucas's POV, but Ava hasn't.

Ava has a long process of character growth through the series. She does get there. You just need to hang on for the bumpy ride to get there.

Spoiler (?): Ava also learns the difference between loving someone and just latching onto any kindness shown her way later on. This is such an important process of growth, when you've lived without any real kindness or caring from those who are supposed to love you the most.
