Kapitel 47: Unfamiliar meet
William started to run towards the entrance of the forest with unconscious Lin Cian on his back. William's injury is also not a joke but he chose to do so because of the fear of beasts.
Beasts have a reasonable greedy nature. It always will mark its territories with its feces and other urine where only the members of its clan can stay. If someone happened to trespass on their territory, then it is hard not to confront them. Usually, the beasts which mark their territories will be either strong or leave in large packs. The lesser the numbers the stronger they will be. The weaker they are the more their numbers will be so they can be even.
If someone trespasses their territories the beasts will attack them deliberately as the invader will seize their territory no matter who they are humans or beasts. The more they fear the fiercer they will be. So William knew they can't afford to offend some beasts again because both of them are in bad condition.
After running nonstop for 30 minutes William finally reached the borderland of the Death Valley. William also started to lose consciousness but he struggled and stayed awake. When they were in the borderland William tripped and fell. He struggled to get up on his legs but he couldn't.
"Dammit...., it's not time to sleep... Get up you fool... You should not die" William shouted to himself at the top of his lungs. He was panting heavily and his consciousness was also slowly fading away.
"Cian... Cian... are you... ok," the noise of heavy panting can be heard from his respiratory system as it was struggling to do its work. His injured leg is also pumping out the blood like crazy which leads to having a severe blood loss. After a moment of struggle, William saw someone coming toward them.
'Are they my enemy? What shall I... ?' William thought to himself as he fell into the deep slumber. Those people were some hunters getting into the forest. They saw two men getting out of the forest while one carried over the other one and collapsed after some time. They rushed themselves towards the two people who collapsed when getting out of the forest.
As for hunters they were considered heartless and ruthless people but only the involved people and known people knew what are they and what they face. But hunters also have brave and true hearts other than people who disguise themselves as loving and caring but rely upon their benefits. The hunters are called fools because those people don't know how to please others or someone with high status. Even if they offend a noble they won't regret it because these people will only offend someone who is not good according to them. They don't care about status or power. All they care is about loyalty.
If they found someone to be loyal they won't even hesitate to die for that particular person. These people never betray their teammates even if it is a dire situation unlike the people from noble families. They never hesitate to trust their teammates and will always extend their helping hands toward them. These people also have something like antisocial disorder because it is not easy to tame these people because of their wild behavior. They often form a group called a party. A party may have 5 to 10 people. There is also no difference between races and species in hunters. They often depend on each other. They will hold grudge against a person no matter what if they sense a trace of betrayal from them and will also be grateful when someone did something to them even if it is not worthy to mention.
"This guy. How did he survive this injury?"
"haha I have survived even a bigger injury than this"
"Tsk.... his constitution was very weaker than you and me... I don't know whether I could survive...."
"Hey mind your words... you are a hunter don't belittle yourself"
"What kind of weapon is this it is something very different and …."
"It's ok mind your work"
Lin Cian felt like he has escaped from a great slumber when he heard those strange and unfamiliar voices. He tried to open his eyes but felt his eyelids were heavy. He struggled to open his eyes. After a long time of struggle, he opened his eyes. When he opened his eyes he was under a tree and he saw a woman who was near him wiping his sweat for other things he didn't notice because his vision seem to be blurry.
She looked like a woman in her twenties. She had blue hair with a light hue. She was wearing a hood and only a few strands of her hair is visible through her hood which was near her face with a shorter length. She wore a white robe. Her body was enchanting but her curves were not visible because her clothes were worn with the intention of hiding them. Her skin tone was of a light tan and white hue. She had something like fish scales under her left eyelids which were silvery-blue in color and appeared almost transparent. Her lips were pink and her eyes were emitting a cold look with blue color pupils.
When she saw that Lin Cian was awake she took away her hands
"You are awake?"
"Hmm...." Lin Cian didn't realize that he was in front of an unfamiliar person. When he realized he tried to form a guard in front of him but was stopped by her
"Wait... your injury is not healed... you have to lie down," she said in a warm tone which made him confused. Lin Cian stared in her eyes for a minute then he turned his gaze towards his comrade who was also laying near the tree next to the one which he was laying. William was also being treated by someone and three were guarding them.
"He is fine... He has severe blood loss but he can be treated" said the same woman. The person who was treating William turned towards Lin Cian and smiled and nodded his head to confirm the woman's claim.
He wore a black hat and seemed to be the tallest man in the group. He was wearing a black robe and wore black leather gloves in his hands. His face emitted a warm aura and his lips is always equipped with a smile. His hair was dark black while the eyebrows and pupils were the same. He had a long face that was very pale and had a white color that almost made him look like a phantom.
Upon knowing that William is safe Lin Cian decided to close his eyes and rest as the woman near him. The woman let out a deep sigh and gently caressed Lin Cian's hair and a sense of care emerged in her eyes. A sense of happiness was seen on her face while she smiled at him. Upon remembering something she immediately retreated her hands from Lin Cian's head.
"It's ok June" a male voice heard from one of the men who were guarding them.
