Shortly before he left the Hringhorni, Gus had been given the suit he now wore. Some time between when they had left for the research station and now, at a point when he had been in his room trying to make sense of the situation and planning out his next steps, the makers of the ship had delivered the suit to him.

It was more or less the exact same as the suit that the others would wear, the ones that came with the ship. At least from a visual standpoint. But there was one key difference with the way that it functioned, one that would likely make it unique to every other space suit that could be found in the billions that belonged to humanity.
