"Well, someone was definitely compensating for something," said the long lost Jan Itor currently enjoying an ice cream cone. He had appeared out of thin after another unnamed main character had been zapped out of existence.
" What the hell are you saying?" I asked clearly still very disturbed by our creator's little presentation on why we should not do anything stupid.
" I was saying that he as a small, little wee-wee" Jan seemed as nonchalant about the whole situation as ever. He was more concerned with devouring his snack.
" I understood the implication… Men, are you mental? Did you not see what our Author did to that poor MC, whose name I had already forgotten?"
As if the world had ended; my man was simply not concerned in the slightest about an author willing to kill his creation if they did not make enough money. He held ice cream in his hand, and he would not let it melt.
His tongue moved across the cold surface as if its very life depended on it. Though it did remind me a little bit of the twitching corpse of my former colleague. Both were a bit "tasteless"
"Oh, you don't have to worry about our Creator. He usually pulls this stunt, when he starts a new story. That nameless character is always killed and brought back for the next time. Our author is a bit of a Tsundere".
Wait, really? The dude really pulled all of that, just to teach me a lesson? I had never been more proud of him.
Think about it…the 5 readers that read my story would certainly be very stoked to read about such a brilliant plot twist. Imagine their head just outright exploding after this sort of revelation.
[Your novel System for Dummies just lost 2 collections]
Welp, never mind that was the most stupid thing anyone could have done? How about he finally got to work and began writing the "real" story he has been teasing for ages for.
BUT NO, not our dear author-san, no. He clearly had much better plans than writing a normal story. You see, whenever a reader would be smart enough to drop his story, he would be grateful.
"Thankfully, people out there still have some standards. This story clearly was too logical and not nearly crazy enough─this should never happen again." That was the stuff that ran through his demented mind whenever he came up with a new plot idea.
These 2 collection dropping readers were literal heroes; who else but them was willing to show the author just how much his writing sucked?
Only their patriotic self-sacrifice of removing a WN novel from their library was an act of resistance against the regime of writers oppressing the poor readers. Not with them, however, they did not hesitate for even a second to remove this cancerous writing from their life.
After reading 19 chapters it was more than clear that the System in the Title would never come. The author was right in his review his novel was a scam.
These 2 smart individuals had seen through the obvious truth that the Author had been saying all along. They clearly saw that the Author called Fearmongering was only trying to get fame by putting System in the title of a story!!!
What a horrible person, to do something so cruel and heartless… the author truly should be gunned down in the streets like the animal he was.
But since WN readers were very civilized beings; they only wished for him to step on leg*s and watch him as he slowly sees his family members being brutally killed in front of his own eyes as they plead to him to save them, yet he is unable to save a single one of them...after everyone else he had ever loved was dead, and only then, would he be allowed the swift release of death─after all, everyone deserved to be happy.
Well, that felt good. Not going to lie, I respect them for dropping the story as soon as they do not like it anymore. Before our dear Creator decided to try and make everyone happy; he should stick to what he is best at.
We might not know what he is best at, but I was more than certain that he was willing to learn.
Soon, maybe on his death bed would the "real" story finally begin. Once the dude was taking his last breath, he would realize that he should have put in the system everyone had been asking for.
Then the body slowly shut down as his organs failed him just like he had failed the readers by writing such a horrible story. Soon he would be as lifeless as the characters he had written.
I do not have to tell anyone that he died alone. The Author of this story should be glad that his family let him live in the first place.
Thus with his death… the world became a better place, and his soul was put straight into the closest trash bin because there was no afterlife for sinners of such magnitude.
Our 2 heroes that dropped the story like a hot potato had a harem now. They received millions of dollars in cash, the biggest houses the world had ever seen in the world and were famous all around the globe; they earned this much for their courageous act.
To return their great luck they decided to dance on the author's grave; just so he knew, one final time, how it felt to have your expectations stepped on.
Sadly, for anyone involved the author was not dead yet and was still in full control over this story. So, through the power of blackmailing he "motivated" me to convey these words to you.
…
Was my creator still paying attention? Good, he was gone now.
Dear Readers of this novel of mine, read whatever your heart desires. Life was way too short to wait for WN authors to actually get good. When you find something you like, feel free to enjoy it. If there was something you do not like, then simply do not read it. Nobody deserved to read through thousands of MTL books from another cultivation novel.
Maybe the "real" story the Big Guy spoke of was nothing more than a metaphor for life. Nothing would happen if you did the same thing over and over again.
Or maybe and just hear me out… this story was never supposed to have a "real" story.
But that would be impossible, the author promised us that there would be a real story… and I was certain he would not lie to us twice in the same novel. He lost 2 collections already; he would not dare to pull this kind of stunt again.
And so the story continued… because people did not learn a single thing.
