Judging from its appearance, the usage of an old-style gray LCD screen, and its usage of a single AAA battery, this MP3 player seems to be released around the year I was born.

Coincidentally, I have with me a spare AAA battery in my shirt pocket, due to the fact that I slipped it in that pocket yesterday, while I was replacing the batteries for our TV's remote control.
