Kapitel 17: Chapter 17: His Soft Side

Sliding what remained of the clasps off my hands, I backed away and walked away quickly, leaving them to bicker amongst themselves as I walked over to the food at the end of the room. I grabbed the last chunk of meat yet, devouring it in seconds. My eyes rolled back as I enjoyed the mouthwatering taste before grabbing a sandwich and stuffing my face with it next.

“Let’s go,” his voice called out, tearing me away from my foodgasm as I grabbed one last sandwich and dashed out the door after them.

I trailed them as they walked quickly ahead. Before long, we had reached our destination. We were back at the closed off area where the Elders had gathered to decide my fate. Today, however, there were only three of them congregating within the space. The eldest man with the ash white hair was present along with two other women who appeared to be sisters from their similarly sharp features and short brown hair. Their surprise was evident from their raised eyebrows and pursed lips.
