Kapitel 55: Drunken Thoughts

The dinner date between Robin and Ramsey comes to an end.

But as they leave the restaurant, Robin's earlier mirth leaves her as soon as she steps out.

Robin can't help but dwell on the fact that Malik and Layla have a child, something she had lost after the accident that had started everything.

She recalls the happiness she felt when she thought she might be pregnant, and the crushing disappointment that followed.

She hates the fact that Malik is getting the happiness she deserves.

_"It's not fair,"_ she thinks bitterly, as they walk to Ramsey's car. _"Why do they get to have a child when I can't? What did I do to deserve this?"_

She feels a familiar ache in her heart, a longing that never seems to go away.

Ramsey has called her name several times, but Robin has been lost in her thoughts.

Finally, he reaches out and gently shakes her shoulder, snapping her back to reality.
