Kapitel 12: Chapter 12:Mos Espa
The trip through hyperspace to Tatooine didn't take long, I could feel the crew a little tense, everyone spent most of the time, in the queen's cabin, discussing what to do once we get to Tatooine, and it was decided that Qui-Gon would be going to one of the spaceport settlements on the planet, more specifically, Mos Espa, to get the spare parts for the ship.
During the conversation, Sabé as a form of disguise, delegated to Padme the duty to clean R2-D2, since she did not want the Jedi to know who the real queen was, and no one would suspect that a servant who stooped to cleaning a droid could. to be the queen in disguise, although I have my doubts that they don't already know about it, and are just pretending ignorance, which in the end doesn't make much difference, they would find out the truth soon anyway.
After I have resolved Tatooine's affairs, everyone goes to their private staterooms, and as there is no need to protect the 'Queen' inside the ship, I decide to talk to Padme for a while, besides that I was also a little curious about R2 -D2, the little droid was always very smart and brave in the movies unlike C3P0 which seemed to be there more for comic relief, and I was wondering if there was something different about him, or if it was just the force helping him.
Entering the droids compartment, I find Padme cleaning R2-2 while talking to Jar Jar, I just sit next to Padme, "Hello little friend, I'm Jhon", I say to R2-D2.
* Beep * * biiip *, he beeps back at me.
'' It is a pleasure to meet R2-D2, good work back there, you saved us all '', I say with a smile.
* Biip ** Beep * Biiiiip *, he whistles excitedly.
"Hehe, yes you are the best astromechanical droid of all," I say as I laugh at the smug little guy.
'' Do you really understand what he says? '' Padme asks curiously.
'' Yes, I have a very good memory, so it is very easy for me to learn a new language, so I know many, '' I invent a little white lie.
* Beep * * biiip * * beep *
I widen my eyes at the question of the shameless little guy, "Damn, who put those questions in your schedule?"
'' What did he say? '' Padme asks, curious at my suspicious reaction.
* Cough *, '' nothing too much Padme, just talk of man and robot '', I say trying to avoid the question.
* Beep * * beep *
"Well yes, maybe in the future", I say activating the "Player's mind" and show an indifferent face.
Padme narrows her eyes at me at that moment and says, '' why do I have the feeling that you are talking about me? ''
I start to sweat cold at Padme's question, * (Damn, a woman's intuition is really scary) *
Before Padme's gaze can make a hole in me, the pilot's voice coming out of one of the loudspeakers saves me, '' We will leave Hyper-Spaço in 30 seconds and we will arrive in Tatooine, get ready ''.
Before anyone else can say anything else, I get up quickly, "Good conversation R2, let's go Padme, they must be waiting for us" and I run away
Padme just looks suspiciously between the door I just left and R2-D2, before shrugging, she has more important things to deal with at the moment ...

Outer Rim
Tatooine, Mos Espa
Tatooine was a desert planet located in the Outer Rim Territories. The planet was part of a binary solar system. Due to the lack of surface water, many residents of the planet drained water from the atmosphere through moisture farms.
One of the few port cities on the Outer Rim planet of Tatooine, Mos Espa is filled with dwellings, workplaces, and commercial operations of many kinds, along with entertainment venues, some of which were grandiose in size. The Mos Espa Grand Arena, home to the Boonta Eve Classic podrace, could seat an audience numbering almost as many as the city's entire population. Because the Hutts controlled Mos Espa and found the institution of slavery to be very useful, slaves were often traded within the city.
We landed a few kilometers away from Mos Espa as a safety measure, in our current situation we don want to draw to much attention.
While Qui-Gon is getting ready to leave, with R2-D2 because he has the precise information about the parts needed to ship the ship, and Jar Jar Bnks, simply because he was annoying and awkward, and like him inside the ship, we feared that he accidentally destroyed something.
Padme approaches me at that moment after having changed to simpler clothes, her old servant clothes were still made of silk which could attract the attention of thieves and kidnappers, and seeing her wear these clothes, I already know what she will ask me.
"John, I'm going to accompany the Jedi Master to the settlement, could you come with me?", She asks.
I planned to go anyway, since there is no way I could miss this part,and i have some plans there, but I still say, '' Are you sure about it Padme ?, this is a Hutt's domain, it's not one of the best places for excursions, the worst kind of people get together there. ''
'' Yes, I'm sure of it, I've never traveled much beyond coruscant, and I'm really curious, '' she says with a small smile.
'' all right then, we should hurry up '' I simple say,knowing very well that when she decides something, it's very difficult to change her mind.
She nods and will tell Sabé and Panaka about her decision, he tries to protest the idea saying that it is very dangerous, nothing that she doesn't know, but he gives up when she says that I will go along, besides having a Jedi Master with us, while Obi -Wan stays to protect the Ship.
Having decided, we left together on the landing ramp, in the distance it is possible to see the trio of Qui-Gon, R2-D2 and Jar Jar, leaving the ship, the infernal heat begins to assault us, my first thought is to get rid of some layers of clothes, until I remember that I can use force to protect myself from heat and cold.
Taking a look at Padme, I can see that she is also suffering from the heat, so I discreetly involved her in the power of the force to protect her too, with the MP I have now, to protect a few dozen people from something like the heat is quite easy.
Soon we reached the trio in front of us, '' Wait '', Padme shouts to get the trio's attention.
"the queen ordered me to go with you," she says
"This is not a good idea, this spaceport is not a nice place," Qui-Gon snapped.
'' Don't worry, Jedi master, I will take care of Padme, with your padawan on board, there is no need for me to stay here to protect the queen, '' I say in defense of Padme.
He looks between me and Padme a few times, before nodding, "Stay close," he says before he starts walking.
While we were walking, a slight tremor on the force draws my attention, narrowing my eyes to the sky, I can feel a dark presence on the force, it is the first time that I really feel a user of the 'dark side', it is certainly Darth Maul, I can feel anger, fear, resentment and many other negative emotions, and I must say that I am very disappointed, he simply uses emotions as fuel for his power, and lets himself be controlled by them, he is not very different from an animal, he cannot even be considered a sith, much less a 'Darth', looking at Qui-Gon he also seems to have noticed, but unlike me, he seems a little apprehensive, I shake my head at that, the Jedi order really weakened , but not to alert Padme, we were both silent.
After just over half an hour of hiking in the desert, we arrived at Mos Espa, the first thing to notice is the wide variety of different breeds coming and going, in addition to some animals resembling dinosaurs, others looking like giant goats, to be honest I am also very curious, as well as padme, even though Naboo has some exotic species, the variety was not even close to the amount I am seeing here.
'' Mostly moisture factories, '' Qui-Gon says, referring to houses that appear to be made of sand, 'In addition to some native species, the majority of the people you see now are scrap dealers and thieves, spaceport as these are not easy places to live, but certainly a great place for those who want to hide ''.
Walking through the sandy streets of Mos Espa, we found some open stalls along the streets, some open shops and some canteens, but the most notable thing so far was the great arena of Mos Espa, with the capacity to gather over 100,000 spectators, was where Pod Racing happened, but it was currently empty.
'' Let's look for a smaller dealer '', Qui-Gon's voice takes me out of my thoughts, then we head towards a store that could easily be mistaken for an 'junkyard'. (AN: on my language we have a specific name for that, so I don't know if the translation made a lot of sense in that part)
"Are you sure this is a good place? It's falling apart," Padme says
"We will get a lot of attention if we go to a big store with an order for a Nunbian ship," he replies back.
Entering the small store, a toydarian,that I know to be Watto welcomes us, looking closely, I am a little surprised and confused at how he can support his own weight with those small wings.
"I want parts for a Nunbian J-327," Qui-Gon says directly.
'' Hmmm, a Nunbian huh ?, we have a lot of them '', he says in the common language of galaxy, while narrowing his eyes, greed can be seen in those yellow eyes, he probably sees us as rich people who can be easily fooled, he then he starts shouting towards the back of the store in an alien language I understand what he says, but I can't identify what language it is, and soon a little boy comes running, he has light blond hair and blue eyes, the Anakim in front of me looks like a little more malnourished than in the film, but he is still the same energetic boy that the film shows.
'' My droid here has the list of what we need, '' Qui-gon says as he points to R2-D2.
I quickly lose interest after that, I know that Watto will not accept the credit of the republic, since he does not have much use here, and that Qui-gon will try to use mental manipulation on him, unaware that Toydarians are immune to mental tricks.

Barruch This chapter was a little shorter, i am a bit indisposed,I intend to follow the script of the film, making some changes here and there, at least until the arc of the Naboo invasion ends, after that some major changes will start to appear.
