Kapitel 36: Left One In Disbelief

The cars went past each other with almost similar speed. While Valerie concentrated on the road, Lucian had a relaxed manner, wearing a smug smile on his face as though the win was already in his bag.

After all the practice he put in comparatively, that should be case, and that's what happened as he crossed that finish line fast. Nevertheless, it only took Valerie two to three seconds after him to cross the line.

With both sharing a passion for driving the car, they decided to go on for hours, and Valerie managed to get a couple of wins as well. Only when the two of them were tired did they stop.

Once they were done playing, Lucian expressed, "Since you cleared your schedule for the day already, let's go to have drinks, and meanwhile, I will introduce you to my friends."

Valerie looked at him questioningly due to the sudden friendliness. She was used to him being cold and harsh to her.
