Kapitel 27: Chapter 27

[Third Person's PoV]

Gwen lay on Peter's lap, raising her hands to her face. "So, ice powers, huh? Interesting" she mused.

Peter responded with a smirk, "Pretty 'cool,' right... hehehe."

"Hehehe, How does it even work?" Gwen chuckled while still examining her hands.

"This is Arnny's hypothesis on the matter..." Peter explained, recounting everything his A.I. had previously mentioned about the spider's venom and its connection to her ice powers.

"I see... Do you think we might unlock more powers along the way, or are they already there waiting to be discovered, with us having access to them?" Gwen pondered.

Peter contemplated for a moment. "I really don't know. Perhaps they're being assimilated into our DNA as we speak, since the venom isn't fully integrated into us."

"I just hope none of us have to come close to dying again to discover them," Gwen said awkwardly.

"Let's just hope it doesn't come to that," Peter replied.

Gwen attempted to use her ice powers; her hands began to chill, gradually accumulating tiny amounts of ice.

Shaking her hand to rid it of the ice, Gwen said, "We need to test some of these things, especially our blood... you know what, let's do it now."

She got up from Peter's lap and headed towards her section of the secret base, where she studied and conducted experiments on biology.

Searching for a syringe, she found one and handed it to Peter. "Here, draw some of my blood."

Raising a brow, Peter remarked, "You're awfully excited about this."

Gwen beamed. "Of course, I would be! This is biology we're talking about. You know how excited I get when we delve into it."

Peter shook his head at her enthusiasm and stood up to accept the syringe she offered.

"Why don't we get out of our suits in the first place?" Peter remarked while examining the syringe.

Realizing they were still in their superhero outfits, Gwen felt embarrassed by her oversight. She nodded in agreement, and both she and Peter quickly changed out of their superhero attire into their regular clothes.

Once they were done Gwen rolled up her sleeves and presented the area between the forearm and the bicep to Peter.

She gave it a few taps and said "Do it"

Peter nodded and started extracting blood from her vein. When he finished the tiny hole he made quickly healed on its own. Gwen went and grabbed another syringe and said "Your turn now"

Gwen grabbed his arm and rolled up his sleeve and extracted blood from it.

When she finished, she was about to prepare everything else before Peter stopped her,"Umm, Gwen, due to your excitement, we seem to have forgotten something," he said.

Gwen looked at Peter in confusion, holding two syringes. "What?"

"We could have used the blood from the extracted bullets; we didn't really need to use a syringe," Peter explained.

"We could have used the blood from the bullets we extracted, we didn't really need to use a syringe"

Gwen while holding the two syringes sighed before shrugging her shoulders "It's better this way"

Gwen then carefully prepared a slide, placing a sample of her blood under the microscope. With a flick of a switch, the high-powered device illuminated the intricate world of her blood cells. Peering through the eyepiece, she observed with fascination the subtle alterations within her blood.

"Peter, come take a look at this," Gwen called out, her excitement growing. "See these structures? They look different from normal blood cells. It's like they've adapted to mirror my ice-based abilities."

Peter joined her at the microscope, his curiosity matching hers. "That's amazing, Gwen. It's as if your powers have left a distinct mark on your cells."

As they continued their examination, Gwen's enthusiasm grew, unraveling the mysterious alterations within her blood. Each observation deepened her understanding of her newfound abilities.

Suddenly, Peter's curiosity was piqued. "Hey, check out my blood now, are they any different from yours?"

Gwen smiled, nodding in agreement. "Sure, let's see if there are any differences or similarities between ours."

Peter quickly prepared another slide with his blood sample while Gwen adjusted the microscope. As the image came into focus, they observed Peter's blood cells, searching for any remarkable alterations.

"Look at that," Gwen pointed at the screen. "Your blood cells seem to have some distinct electrical charges around them. It's like they're buzzing with energy."

Peter leaned closer, intrigued. "That's incredible! Maybe that's how my electric powers manifest themselves on a microscopic level."

They both marveled at the unique characteristics of Peter's blood cells, drawing connections between the observable traits and his extraordinary abilities.

As Gwen and Peter continued their examination of their blood cells under the microscope, they noticed intriguing patterns.

Gwen observed, "Look at these structures in my blood cells. They seem to have adapted in a way that mimics my ice-related abilities. It's fascinating!"

Peter nodded, peering through the microscope. "And mine, they're exhibiting unusual charges, almost like they're resonating with electricity."

They discussed the remarkable alterations in their blood cells, contemplating the connection between these adaptations and their spider-induced abilities.

"It's incredible how our blood cells seem to reflect our powers," Gwen remarked. "Maybe the spider's venom triggered an adaptive response within our DNA."

Peter agreed, "Seems likely. It's as if our bodies are incorporating these abilities on a fundamental level, allowing our blood cells to adapt to our powers."

As they continued their examination, they theorized about the adaptation process, discussing how the spider venom might have interacted with their genetic makeup, resulting in their blood cells reflecting their unique abilities.

Gwen and Peter scrutinized their blood cells under the microscope, noticing distinctive traits but also discussing an aspect of their adaptation.

Gwen observed, "Even after two weeks since the spider bite, our blood cells still exhibit some markers of normalcy. They haven't entirely adapted to the spider venom."

Peter nodded in agreement, "You're right. It seems the venom's effects take time to fully integrate into our systems. Maybe it requires more time for our bodies to completely embrace the changes."

"I wonder how long it might take for our blood cells to fully adapt," Gwen pondered, adjusting the microscope's focus to examine the cells more closely.

Peter speculated, "Perhaps it might need a month or even longer for the venom's effects to be entirely integrated into our DNA. After all, it's an intricate process that could take time to manifest fully."

They continued their discussion, mulling over the intricacies of the venom's impact on their genetic makeup and speculating on the timeline required for their blood cells to undergo complete adaptation to the spider venom.

With everything packed, they left the base, and Peter accompanied Gwen on her way home. Upon reaching her house, they exchanged a goodbye kiss. "Bye! Love you," Peter said before he started jogging, not in any particularly swift manner. Gwen watched him go, her face adorned with a loving smile, before entering her house.
