"The situation of me getting to know a brilliant mortal like you is the best thing that has ever happened in my life Irene," Amiel paused as he swallowed a lump in her throat called truth.

Irene carefully observed the expression on Amiel's face but she can't seem to decipher it. He looks hurt, his head is hanging down, and his voice is shaking.

He composed himself and continued to speak in a soft and quiet voice, "But as for you, meeting a horrible Rosemoor like me is totally disadvantageous in your part. In my want to love you, I brought you nothing with danger. I can't ever forgive myself for that," His voice and heart breaks at the same time as he speaks.

Shaking her head, Irene's lips quivered in sadness as her eyes turn red and burning with tears. Her face becomes sticky, she hung her head low and pursed lips as she cried more. Her shoulders shuddered.
