88.97% Spartan In Star Wars / Chapter 112: Comparing

Kapitel 112: Comparing

Location: Mandalorian Sector Command Room Diesel/Rayath

""The Jedi and Spartan aren't all that different if you think about it." Rayath grew even more confused by what Diesel meant. How could the Jedi and Spartan not differ? One was an overpowered man in a suit who could destroy anything it touched. While the other was someone who processes control over the force allowing them to use special abilities. She couldn't fathom how they could be the same.

"I'm sure you already know this. The Jedi search the Galaxy in order to find Force Sensitive children in order to train them in the ways of the Jedi. Otherwise they basically kidnap them from their families." Rayath only nodded understanding that the Spartans were probably the same in that aspect.

"The Spartan were the same. However, instead of being Force Sensitives we are what they called naturally gifted children. Basically at a young age if our gene pools match a criteria we were taken. Of course there are some other things that they looked into." Diesel kept his voice low. Remembering the days he was taken from his family and awoke meeting the others. Rayath on the other hand listened quietly absorbing the new information.

"Originally there were 300 Children who were selected to be a part of the program. After making the requirements slightly more strict the candidates dropped from 300 to 150. In turn the person who was originally in charge of the program was forced to select 75 children for their project. While 15 was secretly given to someone else." Diesel grew quieter as he spoke.

"We were raised alone with the other selected children. They would be our only family, other than our trainers. Eventually after years of education and training...They augmented our bodies killing close to 50 of our brothers and sisters. Of the group I was apart of only the three of us survived the augmentation." Rayath slowly walked over to Diesel placing both hands on his shoulder and leaned towards him as he sat. She wraps her arms slowly around him, hugging him.

"Diesel you have us now. We are your family. You saved me from despair and possibly death and for that I thank you." He stayed within her arms. He couldn't feel her through the armor but the warmth from her temperament flowed directly to him.

He normally never would break protocol of releasing this information to anyone. But for some reason he just felt calm and relaxed. He blurted out everything he kept closed up inside all in a moment. For the first time since arriving he felt truly at home. "Ray makes sure what has been said never leaves this room."

"Of course Master." Releasing Diesel from her embrace she backed away and smiled. "I better prepare for my mission to Coruscant.

"Rayath, be careful. We have no idea what is hiding there." Rayath bowed and began walking out of the room.

"Only if you promise to be here when I return."

Location: Deep Space Beacon

"The readings are off the charts sir. I think we have found new contacts."

"Any response or indication our probe has been detected."

"No Sir! It's still roughly three years out from contact range. Unless they have sensors similar to the Covenant. I don't believe it's possible."

"So three years until contact. It seems too long. Master Chief I'm sorry to say but it'll still take a while."

"No worries Sir. We will find them." The Master Chief was slightly disappointed. He was excited to learn he had a couple more brothers or sisters from another class of Spartans II. After returning from the first Halo Master noticed the list of Spartan IIs increased by two from when he left. After learning of them he found out Spartan-016 disappeared after the Fall of Reach. While Spartan-017 and Spartan-015 stole a ship and chased after him after they learned of his whereabouts. He just hoped those three were still alive. Sadly, he was at least three years from contact.
