A Soul bound was someone whom you shared a soul with and it could be in the form of even the most platonic relationships. Some spent years looking for their but when you're a teenager and find your Soul Bound the world is a little different.
At least that's what Draconia was about to learn at the tender age of 12.
She was walking around the forest on her first walk about. It was tradition in her family that at the age of twelve a girl became a woman and boys became men at the age of eleven. It was that very morning of her birthday that she woke up to her bags packed with a satchel of food and a tin can of water. To be then walked to the front door by her own Grandmother and thrown out the door. No really!
You'd think being the second oldest of the grandchildren and the first granddaughter that that meant something to her family. She raised her cousins and learned to sew and cook and survive off the land since she was five. But no! No one compared to her elder brother and three younger cousins all boys. The two younger female cousins were still just toddlers barely. (She never accuse a small toddler)
But she could accuse the rest of her family. They ignored her and forgot she even existed. At times she cried herself to sleep but after turning six she stopped caring and just raised herself on her own. So it was really no surprise that at the legal adult age she was thrown out and left alone....again.
With a heavy sigh she had begun walking into the forest knowing that if she walked far enough she would make it to the next village in no time. That was in the early morning and the sun was now setting behind the trees. She'd been walking for over twelve hours. Looking around she decided it was best to find a safe spot to lay down for the night.
Looking around she found a small alcove hollowed out from the mountain side. Shrugging she made her way there tucked her bag under her head and curled up as far inside as she could. Making sure to be out of sight so not to be found easily, she summoned her fire element to spreed lightly like a blanket around her skin to keep warm. It may have been August but the forest got cold at night.
With no other thought she drifted off to sleep easily and didn't care if anything really tried to eat her. She had a way with animals to the point they protected her no matter the species. It was to blurry vision and loud voices that she woke up.
"It's a Pale One."
"What's a Pale One doing so far out here?"
"Who knows."
"Well this one is awake ya know." she spoke up blinking away the sleep. Sitting up she saw that she was surrounded by a bunch of Dark Ones. They were of various ages but her gaze fell on the only girl who looked about her age. She was skinny as a stick still waiting for puberty to hit like herself. She had braided hair and dark chocolate skin with molten chocolate eyes. What drew her in was the instant connection she had when she looked into the eyes that matched hers.
"What's your name?" she asked her high pitched voice catching them off guard.
"Tatiana. You?"
"Draconia." it was in that instant their separate magicks connected visibly and two souls felt connected.
"Soul Bonded." someone breathed and it was really a sight to see. The two girls could not have been anymore different.
Draconia was pale with even paler blond hair and molten chocolate eyes with soft features and a high voice. Tatiana was dark skinned with dark brown hair and molten chocolate eyes with a strong jaw line fierce aristocratic features and a deep voice. But there was no doubt that they were Soul Bonded and the rest around them looked forward to watching them grow together.
