Kapitel 9: Interlude:- A Friend
Hello dear readers! I am not dead nor have I abandoned this fic! It's just that I have been thinking about many different ways this story could go and stuff.
Also, some things came up in real life, and had to deal with that stuff(It was so boring!). I apologize to you all for saying "I will be uploading soon." and only doing so today.
I also wonder what NPC Momanga should make since the MC will be with him in the final days of Yggdrasil and Momanga won't be alone like he originally was.
Again sorry for not uploading and I hope you all enjoy these chapters!

The young man at his edge charged at his superior aiming to throw them both out of the building.
But before he could reach the executive a turret appeared from the roof and shot him in his head.
*SPLAT*
The guy's brain matter exploded in all directions, but no one showed any reaction everyone had gotten used to this, they had seen the cruelty of this world since birth.
"Call the cleanup crew, you are all dismissed other than Igarashi Rei who will stay here and find out the location of this brat's parents.
The corporation will deal with them."
Everyone quietly got up and left the office feeling slight happiness about the early leave.
Some friends started chatting with each other but a few of them remained alone going back to their apartments.
The roads to their homes were littered with trash, dead bodies of orphans, and some unlucky people who had their respirators damaged or stolen.
Occasionally Satoru even saw people suffocating to death in front of him.
On the narrow roads where the dead bodies of orphans and people rotted away, one could even if one looked up, only see rows and rows of systematically placed skyscrapers blocking the sky further intensifying the feeling of being trapped in an endless cycle of being exploited.
The employees were unfazed by the situation, accepting their sorry existence and continuing. Upon seeing this, Suzukis sighed and went his way.

Suzuki Satoru returned to his small house, which he had inherited from his mother after her death.
It was the reason he didn't make any friends, if they somehow found out they would have killed him for it.

He looked at his room's current run-down condition. The trash was piled up in a corner, the dirty dishes were left in the sink, and bottles of alcohol and books were sprawled on the ground.
At his work corner, he saw stacks and stacks of papers, charts, etc thrown about.
He didn't even want to think about the extra work he had today.
*SIGH*
'Guess today's cleaning day.'
With a heavy sigh, he went ahead and got in his dirty clothes, equipped his worn-out clothes and gloves, and started cleaning.

He took a very light shower as he didn't want his water bill to rise after drying himself and changing into more cozy clothes opened the fridge and saw it was empty.
With a groan, he began his food search, and after 15 minutes he found a pack of soon-to-expire cookies and called it a day.
He sat down on his couch turned on his tiny old T.V. and started eating while watching the news.

Hearing this, after some thought got up and went to his gaming room.
It looked completely different compared to the rest of his house and was his pride.
The room was unlike the rest of his house, it was made out of a higher-quality metal/ concrete hybrid and was decorated with expensive blue neon LED lights.
The room was mostly dark making it look like a cinema hall.
He liked it but he also often slipped or ran into something there. Not to mention the whole place was extremely hard to clean. He turned on his DMVR headset.
After making sure everything was alright he got inside his DMVR and said aloud "Link Start."
He felt his mind leave his body become detached from reality and enter a whole new world.
Tempiroaly free from his harsh reality Suzuki Satoru ignored his news subscriptions and other notifications and found that attention-grabbing logo of Yggdrasil.
As soon as he found it he clicked it and saw a familiar notification greeting him.

Satoru or more importantly Momanga felt his mind enter the body of his character leaving him stunned for a second after which his mind connected with his character. Clasping his familiar skeletal hand he reflected on its creation.
His character a skeletal magic caster reflected the life he had lived till this point, always filled with sorrow and death everywhere.
His mother died while cooking his favorite dish when he was young, he remembered how confused he was then.
His father whose face he didn't even know left his mother and him before he was born. Never receiving the love of a father. Lacking social skills and friends didn't help. Only having elementary level education.
This character represented his suffering through his life and his desire for everything to be fixes magically.
He opened and closed his hand a few times before looking around and recognizing his surroundings, he was inside a cave covered with moss and unknown glowing plants.
There was a skull statue made out of stone with some cracks, lit with a blue flame in front of him which he knew was a respawn point he had luckily found.
Making sure he was safe he opened his status.

After seeing he had no points to assign he
opened the Gacha and tried his luck and he was fortunate enough to get a [Top] rank item.

He was pleasently suprised and immeadiatly equipted it.
The robes looked like standard mage robes there was a red gemstone imbedded in the centre and was torn apart from varioous places but was still beter than being naked like he previously was.
He then equipped his [Heritic Wand] which was another [High] rank item he had gotten which increased his spell damage and decrease casting time.
After organising his inventory he stepped outside.
Momaga was then greeted with the familiar sight of [Niflheim]'s cold and barren land, which resonated with his melancholic mood.
He and seen a new event was happening in [Asguard] and decided to travel there. On his way, he ran into some monsters he defeated with difficulty.
But sadly it wasn't enough for him to level up.
When he reached the World Bridge he immediately selected [Asguard] as his destination and was teleported there.
It was his first time traveling to another realm and he was surprised by how different the environment looked and felt.
But he was jolted awake when a humanoid player slammed past him, he was surprised by this disrespect and would have voiced out his thoughts if he didn't notice the hostile/predotary glares he was getting from other players.
He quickly made his way to the NPCs and was about to sell his loot but he was surprised to see that the NPCs were selling him at higher prices and buying from him at lower prices.
He was confused but then understood what the game meant when it said {Not recommended for Heteromorphic races.}
'But why does everyone look at me like that? I know my skeleton avatar looks a bit scary but it isn't that bad to make everyone stare at me like that?'
He didn't know that everyone was thinking about ways to spawn camp him so they could get rare job classes.
Once the news about Heteromorph killing went viral every humanoid player wanted to get a medium or even a potential rare job class, the problem was that going to heteromorphic realms restricted them, and the environment there made it impossible for humanoid players to hunt there.
In such conditions seeing a heteromorphic player was like finding a walking treasure, another plus was the fact that killing Heteromorphic players didn't have a penalty.
This made them think that they were doing a noble deed.

Back to Momanga, he was trying to ignore all the creepy stares he was getting and instead debated if he should sell his drops at such low prices when a group of 6 humanoid players suddenly surrounded him.

As the player was about to attack him a number of cuts appeared on their bodies and before anyone knew it all of them were dead.
A man dressed in a black and high level looking outfit appeared in front of him, his back faced him as his cape fluttered in the wind.
It was then that Momanga saw his name [-Nix_Ashborn(35)-] and deduced he probably wasn't Japanese.
But he was more suprised by Nix's absurdly high level. Nix turned towards him and his eyes seemed to glow with deathly bright blue flames.
'Even his arcane eye look cool and by the looks of things he spent a lot of money and time on his character customization.'
But Momanga also felt fear because he knew if Nix wanted to kill him he knew he would be dead in a heartbeat.
Nix collected all the items dropped, and casually walked towards Momanga.
